Hardcore owes a lot to these 2. Back in the day they absolutely bossed it. Fair play for taking the time to show people this. Oh and this tune SMASHED IT

this kinda explains why tunes sounded lot more raw back in the day which was better in my opinion

100% agree with you I was fortunate enough to be going raving at the time tunes like this was being made! Mid to late 2000’s was when UK Hardcore was at its best imo. I’m just glad I was in to whilst it was happening.

Found this video to be quite informative...interesting how they pan 2 of the same kick to the right and left channel, rather than have one kick sit in the center of the stereo field. 2 legends for sure. Much respect!

Well, this guy is a Dj since long time ago, decades. 1992 I think, so he knows the art very well. I am curious if the JP-8000/8080 was used in You're My Angel from 2005, which is a masterpiece.

Is layering kicks ok to do? (As long as you’re able to use phase inversion on one of them). Speaking of which, I’ve gotten into the habit of going down the track list and switch the phase inversion on to see if it helps that track sound/stand out better.

The version they're using in the video is Cubase 4 Essential. It's an outdated DAW which you can't get anymore. If you want to produce Hardcore in the same way, you'll need to get the same Synths. I use the Sylenth1. I've got a couple of MIDI tracks on my channel showing the main riffs and using the same sounds that they used back then.
