Love how i have to go into the registry to disable web search in the start menu. The whole reason to use windows is so you can use menus to do all these settings, Linux looking more and more appealing as a daily driver NGL.

it is 12-4-22 using windows 10 64 bit and i to can back up this procedure that it works to make a long story short i forgot if i installed google earth or not on my system every time i wanted to look it kept bringing up the net then my own files on my computer now with this trick in place it brings up files only on my pc

You can turn it off in task manager? *How?* The video doesn't seem to work for me, though I have yet to try simply restarting my PC. Not sure if I made a mistake somewhere, or if it works differently on my Windows 10 version. EDIT: Nevermind, I think it works now, I just had to ... err... I _think_ I needed to restart Windows Explorer. Or, well, it just so happened to crash by itself (as it tends to do), and now it works.
