Yes of course. We currently use this service and was able to port my original phone number to Google Fi.

The real trick is to run mobile telephony over wifi.

We already have that in Germany on home lines. We pay 35 Euro flat fee 50 meg + line unlimited and all calls in Germany are free. Cell phone we pay about 35 Euro depends on what phone you want as well and have 1 meg up and 1 meg down also unlimited and all calls to Germany are free so we only pay 35 Euro per month flat.

2020 not worth it, reasons: 1. Tech support = used to be bette, reliable, submit request, get call back .. but now it's only via text message, no calls, no one will call you back, major downfall 2. Pricing = same, decent .. but other companies have stepped up to have comparable plans (example: straight talk wireless). 3. Pixel phones (software) = better android experience (no extra layer - line OneUI) but constant advertisements (News). 4. Pixel phones (hardware) = poorly made, cheap plastic materials, lack newer features (no facial recognition, no onscreen finger print scanning), getting rid of head phone jack

RUN- $140 PHONE BILLS AND UNUSABLE DATA SPEED. GOOGLE FI IS HORRIBLE. I HAVE THE UNLIMITED PLAN TOO.
