Synopsis: Just-paroled army ranger Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) is headed back to his wife (Monica Potter), but must fly home aboard a prison transport flight dubbed "Jailbird" with some of the worst criminals living. Along with Diamond Dog (Ving Rhames) and Baby-O (Mykelti Williamson), genius serial killer Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom (John Malkovich) unleashes a violent escape plot in mid-flight. Secretly working with U.S. Marshall Vince Larkin (John Cusack), Poe tries to foil Grissom's plan.

Director Simon West's first feature and producer Jerry Bruckheimer along with Nicholas Cage, Ving Rhames, John Malkovich, John Cusack, Monica Potter, Steve Buscemi One of the biggest action flicks of the 90's based on a true fact in an LA Times 1993 article; Air Operations Division of the US Marshals Service, which flies prisoners around the country for transfers, medical examinations and court appearances on Boeing 727s This turned Cage into an action hero and he actually had a coach teach him to speak Alabama Malkovich apparently was frustrated with how his villainous character was due to constant rewrites Some of the dialogue is a bit rough in spots and there's little room for logic but the action and effects are impressive since they used real explosions with real vehicles and aircraft The filmmakers in reality did research by going to penitentiaries It even received two Academy Award nominations, one for Best Sound, and one for Best Original Song Yes that the ending doesn't feel earned even though Bruckheimer admits they tacked it on Still thanks to its various home-video releases and its constant rotation on cable, the movie's reputation has grown immensely

the film got some misconception in the inception about how to clear a situation by the rationale < all-out > , you can see there how the protagonist goes for the nose of one of his enemies from underneath and the misconception is that the nasal bone would go up into the cerebrum providing imminent lethality... ...but that would not happen... ...rather the nasal bone would fracturize several times... ...so better go - if confronted with all-out as the implied external - for the nose as a smoke-screen in case you need any smoke-screen ( ...often it is the case that you aren't in need of any distraction of your enemy and you can proceed without second intention... ...the situation itself shapes these externals... ) and close with some attack to the neck... ...and there various options exist to remain victorious... ...and most important: pull all off with calm and decisiveness at the same time and know all the possible outcomes of such a situation... ...and once you took the decision to clear that way... ...just don't you never ever hesitate while pulling off your attack... ...cause the probability of failure would rise considerably... Le p'tit Daniel, who wants to go home and that is to his Mamas at once ( and keep in mind the above issued words are - once again - this side of § 99 StGB... ...isn't it? )

Only part that doesn’t make any sense in this movie. And I’m speaking of someone who worked as a correctional officer. When your approved for parole. Your time is done your belongings were given back to you the handcuffs are off. Prison I worked at the thing we did to send you home has put you on a bus. But anyways my point is you definitely would not be sent up in a plane full of maximum-security multi murderers when your prison time is up because then they’re taking a risk on you getting injured or possibly getting in a fight and you’re technically no longer an inmate. It’s definitely a fun movie but I’m just pointing out that the whole part of why the movie happens physically doesn’t make sense.

I keep thinking the idea of a flying prison originated in a rich area. All the inmates were spoiled mostly from rich families. Give them the idea that the whole prison is a floating battle fortress, and maybe these brats will STFU. I think it's certain gases. Makes you feel like you're floating. Very funny movie idea.
