In any version of Windows since Windows 95 and NT 4.0, we can create folders with any name we want. However, there are "forbidden" folder names that the system will not allow you to create a folder with because they are reserved by the system for various devices. Examples are CON, PRN, AUX, CON\CON. Also, the con\con file (when run in the Run window) produced a "blue screen" on Windows 9X (95/98/ME) family systems. In this video we'll see how Windows reacts to creating a CON folder and running the con\con file, as well as test ReactOS.
The following Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21H2, Windows 11, ReactOS were used in the video.
