Most helpful Conan video series that I've found. As a new player on PS4 this helps a ton, thank you! Few questions if you don't mind: - Can you go into more depth about armor / weapon progression and how to go about getting sets? Is everything craftable? - I've been having trouble trying to raid NPC camps because of multiple Archer enemies. What's an effective strategy for taking down large camps and dealing with multiple aggro? - Is there a way to change appearance settings after the initial character creation? Thanks verch20. here is the answers to your questions: - You can unlock different weapon and armor sets in feats. once you unlock them you need to craft an armor bench to make them. However, you can get armor and weapons from bosses, recipes found in the world, NPC camps etc. - Taking down multiple NPCs can be done by line of sighting the archers with things in the way. also you can block with a shield. - No, currently you cannot change your appearance. You can add warpaint though lol. Hope this helps Cheers!

The StonePike also has a bleed effect and a slowing effect, i find it much better even in PvE, can easily kill several crocs at once from the get go

So a big issue with new players on xbox one, is that they do not realize there are tabs for the building things. So they think since you are put on Home tab, that is all they can build even tho they have researched it. All you gotta do is hit RB LB to more between the tabs. like your guide by the way.

A note on iron: Following the cliffs on the north side of newbie river gives a good bit. Using an iron pick I can get almost 400 ironstone going from the point south of The Corner of Bones over to Gallaman's Tomb. That may not be a lot mid/endgame, but starting out a couple runs is enough to get your tools, workbenches, and a bit of armor.

I just found out you can do combos by timing the sword swings and alternating the attack buttons. Super effective.

As a new player, I started setting up my home along Noob River. Over time as I got more levels and wanted more resources, it definitely felt that I made a mistake setting up shop there. I'm not talking a having a shed with a chest, bed, campfire. I was getting fancy. Now I realize I am too far from the more exotic resources that I need and the mining / harvesting runs I need to do are too long, too far away. Unfortunately I'm not alone. Lots of guys have setup along Noob River. It's a nice place, I love it there, I like seeing other players set up their homestead. But it's just too far from the good stuff once you have enough levels.

@@VaniverseGaming Great game. Love the aesthetic, love the area difficulty progression, love the Thrall system. Totally worth the purchase for anybody looking for a very deep survival game. My only complaint is the occasional AI of some of the animals. I mean, i go inside to get away from an animal I had no business engaging with, and the thing literally never left. It just sat outside to kill me if I bothered to exit my home. It was early so I just started a new game elsewhere, but still a pain.

For new players. its good to keep in mind that all forms of exp gain can be raised or lowered and nulled completely depending on server settings and difficulty. (private servers vary greatly) You can gain a better feel for the game on offline/co-op as every aspect of the game can be tweaked and console commands accessed (even on console versions)

Great vid, just wanted to offer one correction. Coal isn't the best fuel in the game. It's a common misconception. Fuel burn times are as follows: Plant Fiber = 2 seconds/unit Branches = 5 seconds/unit Wood = 10 seconds/unit Bark = 20 seconds/unit Coal = 35 seconds/unit Oil = 48 seconds/unit Dry Wood = 48 seconds/unit Dry wood can be obtained in small quantities by gathering dead trees and logs (they have a white color), so coal will be you're best source of furnace fuel until you can unlock the dryer. Once you have a dryer, you can convert regular wood into dry wood. It will also produce resin as a byproduct. (NOTE: The dryer is fueled by bark, which can be gathered in large quantities by using a pick on those dead trees and logs I mentioned). You can get oil by unlocking a fluid press and throwing fish in it. Unappetizing fish yield the most oil (but I still use dry wood as my main fuel and save my oil for other stuff).

I think it should have been said that the "best building location" is all down to preference. You might like a region and it works for you, but then start on a friend's server and find another region that you like just as much. Finding the right spot isn't about following a formula; it's complicated and it's personal, and you can move your base if you don't like your choice.

This playthrough is definitely older, I got this on game pass and followed your guide to the aqueduct, but they must have updated since. There was a poisonous python that spawns on the base of the steps leading up to that bridge now! It ate my face too many times, so I parked my base on a ridgeline overlooking the nearby oasis. Now that I think of it though, I think I walked up the wrong flight of stairs.

I would say the main goal is (new goal since the life release) to get rid of the bracelet and leave the area. To achive that there is a quest (although I'm not that far yet). But of course youbcan do whatever you want - take slaves, build huge structures, fight with/against npcs and or other people.

The Vaniverse Gaming Man really. They added a quest how to get rid of the bracelet. When you get needed items and such you can go out through barrier. There is also a video here on YT showing what will happen. In short - you beat the game and it ends (for that character).

On the chest or storage boxes, even on PVE you need to keep them away from windows. Because if the servers aren't set up properly people can look through your window to access the chests and even forges, blacksmith, tannery and other stations. I found this on many PVE servers and admin had to go in and fix the server where no one can loot from other peoples items.

I got corruption yesterday on my first play thru. Read the only way to get rid of it was the Ent Thrall. Found a players base later on that night and after investigating their religious statue it went away? Kinda strange but happy to not have it anymore.

he is correct. If you destroy the foundation the chest is on the chest is destroyed. They made all weapons regardless of tier level do 1 dmg per hit to buildings. they want you to use orbs and firepots for raiding. Cheers!

The biggest tip, when hiding a box, is leaving out a box... IF theyres NO BOXES anywhere, they will assume its under a floor or behind a wall.. If you leave out a chest or two of your garbage (stone, meat, etc) they mostly will think they got your stuff and leave. hide a box of your good stuff, leave out a box or 2 of stuff you basically are giving away. this trick works in any game like this.. especially conan and ark.

"Fast ENDGAME guide here" 1. Go north immediately to New Asagarth (the circular thrall town). 2. Use daggers bleed effect to easily kill northmen thralls to get steel tools at early game and steel ingots from their corpses. 3. Make a quick base with hardsteel tools on some structure that is hard to climb up and setup all crafting stations and plenty chests (chests can be stacked now). 4.Grind northmen thralls until you can learn starmetal tools, also learn all the improved versions of workbenches. 5. Craft Kambujan Shaman gear set as it gives you +1 cold protection for each piece and only requires medium crafting to craft, except the helmet which needs padding and 10 horns (get horns from mammoths). 6. Use Kambujan Shaman armor to survive getting across the bridge that goes over the ice river and into the Ruins of Xullan. 7. Look up a vid on where to find the key that's in the dungeon itself in order to open the boss room door that's upstairs. 9. Run past Silent Legion boss and press E on the stone tablets along the walls to learn silent legion armor recipes (btw you needed to learn starmetal tools in order to learn the recipes). 10. Make improved armorers bench, you need this to make silent legion gear set (best armor in game, 900 armor value). P.S- you can cheese silent legion boss by making him try to attack you while your on the other side of the large pillars in order to get him to glitch inside the pillar where you can then attack his foot and legs with a spear, but make sure you are standing at the base of the stairs so you are below him and he can't hit you.. This is an easy way to get hearts if you want to make his sword. You can also spam gas bombs on him.

Yeah, they have improved the speed and distance creatures follow you. Also spiders will cripple you with their spit, so that will slow you down significantly. However. if you strife back and forth while running they will miss you. Also you can dodge roll right when they get close and keep going. It can be done but is not as easy as before. Cheers!

I just started playing this game again. Originally bought it back in beta. Really loving all your vids about it. I've pretty much been binging them all as I play to get a better feel for the game. I just had to restart because I was messing with purge settings and I got wrecked lol. But this time around I ran up to just north of the friendly town on the west side of the map. Is this a decent spot for a main base (on solo mode) in your opinion?

Like the video. Am new to Conan Exiles and was wondering when you stop with encumbrance and change. Also what do you change to? You may have answered this question in a later video, if so i will find it and there is no need in responding :)

To be quite honest you change all the time. If I am going to build right away I go encumbrance. If i am going to explore then I do Grit and encumbrance. Once I can make potions, I change depending on what I am doing. You are constantly going back and forth between a fighting spec & farming spec. I am going to do a video on different builds.

Obviously too popular, just started a game and ran directly there (almost, got lost a couple of times) got to the aqueduct and the top level is now guarded by one of the skeleton warriors, middle tier still good though, and it was good to push the envelope a bit, Been spending up to L30 just hanging around near the Yog trainer, so atm on day 3 got some exploring to do, it's all new stuff now Glad i found your guide, subscribed :-D

It will wipe your current character and its level and start you over. Everything will be lost if you are on a solo game.

If you play on a PvE server that cannot. so if you want PvP without raiding do a PvE Conflict Server. this has a window to PvP other players, but no damage to your base. Cheers!

I've really enjoyed your guides so far but I could *not* find this location after several hours of searching. I went all up and down that aqueduct without success. I could not find the stairs that you used to begin ascending the aqueduct so that it would lead you ultimately to your build site. I searched relentlessly for a section where there were stairs to go down to from the duct, back down to the ground on either side to no avail. Any advice? I've watched your walkthroughs several times and freezeframed those moments where you show the map. No luck. Thanks!!
