The Vaniverse Gaming I agree the game itself does not explain stuff, and trial/error can be costly. I think you do a good job explaining things. I have ADD and mild autism, and found the guides so far informative, easy to digest. I think most of the people who are doing "get to the point" are those seeing this as a "lets play" then a guide to the game. (aka people who already play the game) In my experience with guide watching people jump to the end game TOO fast and skip the basic basic tips. This tends to hurt people who DON'T want to speed to the endgame. I'm currently just playing the story/co-op mode and mostly play to RP a character. I made a few test character to see how the game looks, how it plays, how it runs due to being burned by Ark. Watching these guides for tips, tricks and guidance on the game. Once i get better then may play on the online portion.

A trick I found helpful is when looking for bark (it is slow to farm it straight from trees) if you were to find some dead or fallen trees, just hack at them with the pick and viola you have a decent amount of bark, more-so from farming from live trees. Hope this is helpful to anyone/everyone

You are 100% correct. dead trees is the way to go. Once you get good harvesting tools, you can just throw a bunch of wood on the carp bench to get bark, then throw more wood and bark on a drying rack to make dry wood :) Cheers!

Haha, yeah that is a world boss. There is another Oasis due west of the base location where a Rhino World Boss is, but he is way less aggressive. I wold suggest going there to farm. Cheers!

They usually come across the bridge. If you build as high up as my base is, the purge will not probably hit you at all. It will just turn on and off over and over. Cheers!

Yes a lot of times it does make the purge have difficulty getting to you. Another trick is to create small bases through out the map so it attacks one of them instead :) Cheers!

And if you can employ Thralls to capture potential future Thralls, how many can you take with you? And how is the A I, when it comes to using Thralls? I noticed that on the right side of your base you have a foundation wall as well as the arch way you blocked off with the foundation. Why does the right side completely fall in the middle, and the arch way only the one foundation break? Is it because you have stairs on the arch way wall?

Foundations need to be touching terrain for them to be stable. so the foundation in this instance at the bottom is hold holding up the ones above it. The side of the doorway is holding the foundations instead. I hope that makes sense. Cheers!

A Patch in May has changed the Drop of Ice Shards from the Hoar-Frost Hatchet has dropped to 1 Shard per NPC you chop with it... ;o)

You actually change your build depending on what you are doing. You can reset your attributes with Yellow Lotus potions as often as you would like. I am doing a let's play series. Check it out to see what I do if you want. Cheers!

I made the Hoar Axe with branches and Iron not ice shards. The Hoar Axe is used to gather ice shards from Dead NPCs. Does this answer your question? Cheers!

Haha Conan Consultant that is funny. I have been playing the game off and on for 15 months. Also, you can do admin settings on your own PC version of the game which lets you explore and build without having to gather. This is a great way to test things. Cheers!

The Goddess of Death that gives you the dagger to harvest souls for incredible long lasting stamina potion is the best. I’ve outran many things that would’ve killed me early on if I didn’t have the stamina potions. Plus I’m playing as a gigantic badass Xena babe. So a topless sexy dagger fertility goddess worshipping she hulk just seems to fit better.... lol

Journey is the best way to get levels fast. Look at your journey and complete a few of them and you will hit 30 in no time. that is what I did. cheers!

I am not sure what you mean. once the body is dead, you should be able to hit them and get body parts and an ice shard. you can only harvest a body once. I am not sure why this isn't working for you. Cheers!

You can still play solo if you want to. Just make the game "easier" by going into the server settings and increasing harvesting yield per tick and reducing crafting time, if you're so inclined.

So far with me, it seems that hitting dead trees wield the most bark. Although its still a low amount, it is definitely better from those trees than normal trees located around water sources. EDIT: I only get around 4-6 bark per dead tree. I'm only using the first metal pickaxe that you can get. (I haven't progressed very far into the game since I got it only about a week ago). But I have recently found that if you clear a bigger camp, you can walk out with upwards to 150+ bark from looting bodies! I recommend having high grit, strength, and vitality for this. Use your evasive dodges well if you want to dump more points into grit and strength instead of vitality. If anyone finds a more effective way to clear camps by yourself (I'm a solo player) please let me know! I want to do everything I can to get to better equipment. I'm using medium armor with simple weight reduction kits on each piece, a two-handed iron sword(has a simple damage boost kit on it), and savory meat to heal myself since its hard to get aloe where my base is located. All my attributes are at the first tick, except archery. (I heard that one was useless since archery isn't very good in Conan atm) My encumbrance is at 13 i believe, because of the boost my armor gives me.

how did you built that platform for ur wheel of pain. I try to do the same but it wont let me build unless I have some kind of support structures. I see that u are using some kind of column but i cant find it in the game

You should not need a support structure. You just need to place your first foundation in a certain way so everything can then snap too it. Where did you lay your first foundation? Did you use shift to raise it as high as it can go? Cheer!

It is, if you do not have upgraded weapons and thralls. This game relies heavily on thralls to make your crafting times and material usage less. Also, when you get the higher tier gathering tools and spec encumb with a pet, you can farm 1000's of resources. Cheers!

That's what makes this game a challenge. If we didn't lose everything on death it would be boring. Dead bodies are pretty buggy though, I find that leaving the render distance and coming back, or sometimes logging out/in real quick pops them back to the surface so that they are lootable.

I was watching a twitch streamer that died with a ton of stuff on them and there was no body when they came back. They ran far out of render distance and cane back and body was there with all the stuff so that does seem to work.

Yeah. I find that you need to click at the bottom of the corpse below the feet to loot. Sometimes I die in rocks and stuff and it can be a real pain. Try clicking around the body instead of on it. Sorry you lost all of your stuff though. Welcome to a survival MMO. Cheers!
