Even though this guide is outdated, it's still 100% useful especially if you want to get a certain type a thrall that you're having a hard time finding in the camps. Like entertainer thralls for example. The surge spawns them 100% of the time. However, the fight alone is tough as hell so you'll need help. I recommend having your strongest thralls wait nearby and if you don't have them all equipped with truncheons, then hope that they don't target the thralls you trying to knock out. Also I think it takes hardened steel bars to craft the alters now.

i searched for so long thank god you made such a detailed video. The struggle to get more than t1 thralls was hard for me. Never had epic Weapons and armor b4 my first t2 thrall who wasn't a warrior or archer etc.

I already tried only 200 Chaos for tier 2. It Sucks. Only one single Tier 2 Smith + a few Tier 3 fighter and archer + Bosses. It's was a waste. Everything less than 1000 Chaos seem to be a waste, except you are in desperate need of supply packs.

What a terrible game mechanic. This is extremely grindy and unfun. Not to mention the bugs, glitches and performance issues rampant once you have a populated server. After 2k hours I'm done. Look at FlyHacks game, he has to play at the lowest settings just to have performance in pvp and I'm sure he's not on a potato. Conan Exiles, the first game to go back to EA after release.

many pro gamers play on low settings. it gives you an advantage in many games. in some games on low settings bushes that someone is hiding in wont render in, so they think they are safe hiding in a bush but on your screen they are just sitting in an open field ready to be shot in the head.

I do agree Joey. It's a bit tiresome, but now it's a real challenge. Remember that a named fighter thrall is basically unlikable on LV 20. It was a bit to easy in Exiled kingdoms. There are some other issues also. The elephants are way to weak and the rocknoses way to powerfull. I'm sure they will iron out the wrinkles in time. Enjoy.

Personally I just want glass build pieces.. The map does look really good and I'd definitely try it out.. honestly if I get t1 or t2 I'd be good for a while till the t4 drop rate improves and if players can't loot my chaos I can save alot up. Use the Thralls I trained as a defence from other players while I summon the good stuff from shrines

Decent thralls are actually really hard to come by, which mean they will be much more valuable in raids. The game is much more balanced than the Exiled Lands, it works really well.

@@bennyt1701 nah its garbage. they basically screwed solo players over with this thralling mechanic and the new healing system. now to be able to heal you have to let a friend get aggro so you can step out of combat to heal.

It is hinted at, at least. The lore at the end of the vaults seem to suggest toward it. They show the Shining Trapezoid in some of the cut scenes. That's from H.P. Lovecraft's The Haunter of the Dark, I believe. Current day, it's at the bottom of Boston Harbor I think. Suggested is that the Shining Trapezoid can summon Nyarlathotep; and in the story He, or a version of Him, indeed arrives. One of the cutscenes tells us that the elder races used the Shining Trapezoid for some unkown purpose. Some sort of protection or revenge perhaps. Not sure. But yeah, the arrows strongly point towards Nyarlathotep, either case.

This is a horrible design in respect to stretching grinds much, much further than they ever need to be = nice trick alot of developers utilize inplace of adding more meaningful content 😳. Many may disagree with me now, but let me know after you have spent hundreds of hours doing this, how you feel then. Especially considering just how easy your thralls can die or worst = simply disappear/ glitch into objects/ and sink below the ground or into building pieces 😳

@@alan419barriga yeah, but to get that many crystals, you'd have to run 60-70 dungeons, and farm 20-30 Maestroms, just to get enough crystals to obtain 1 thrall?

@@606thumper you only need 50 decay to turn an altar on, thats like 2 dungeons or less. The orbs are another thing but you can cheese all those monsters cause they keep spawning in. Its even less if you have clan mates.

There is actually a lot of new things, new weapons, armor, enemies, dungeons and new places to build oh and a new mount (rhino). The gameplay loop is also different but yeah they did have to keep some of the core mechanics to not entirely change the game cause its is Conan Exiles and not a sequel.

That's quite a lot of farming just for a RNG chance to get a good thrall. Oh and make sure you don't kill it. It would probably take a solo player weeks just to get one chance yikes.

lol its a custom graphics setting to get rid of fog and have a much larger draw distance. It makes it easy to spot other players and buildings. It also gets rid of storm particle effects
