I'm new too, been playing only a couple of months and only really gotten the hang of enthralling people and animals, crafting and building etc within the last couple weeks or month. I'm playing on a private server with my friends and we're just doing our own thing, building fortresses and ransacking the NPCs etc, aiming to take over the exile lands rather than escape them. As a result I miss out on a lot of tutorial stuff, making videos like this handy for me.

Good locations! Whenever I start a new game, I usually go into Sinner's Refuge to get a lot of named worker thralls.

Yes, this is a good starting location for some named thralls! I always get some there but someone’s I get bad luck on the spawn rate. But definitely a worthy location! Thank you for the comment!

when it comes to the special items the thralls can make, are all the tiers the same for each tier? ie, do all t4/named cooks make the same specials? same with armorers/smiths, etc? i know some of them can make more durable armor/weps or it does more damage or has more armor rating.

Yes, some named Tier 4 thralls have different abilities that you can only craft with that particular thrall. The blue icons in the corner of each thrall picture will determine what ability that thrall has.

Or for a easy guaranteed names Taskmaster is at the Ravaged Barrow. Here at 11 C will be the named Driver, Gothrad the Oathbreaker. He is a 100% but technically FIXED spawn Taskmaster. By fixed I mean he will always be a Tier.4 thrall that can be knocked out. I always come here first to stock up on ALL Greater Wheels of Pain. If singleplayer just leave the area and come back while multiplayer might different some server to server thrall respawn rate.

You totally passed over mounds, all the blacksmiths and armor smiths can spawn there, same with new asagarth. The volcano is also a great place to get named thralls.

Hey, thank you for the info! I did try to do mounds of the dead but over the two days of consistent farming I never got one T4 Smith to spawn. Might be my luck. But the one mentioned is still a good spawn for them.

@@CheddaToast there is a mod that forces named thralls to spawn if they can. Its good for finding where they can spawn.

So you can use 'Szeth's truncheon' found on Szeth at the beginning of the wine cellar dungeon in Sepamaru behind Conan's tavern. Add the Advanced weapon blunt to the truncheon and also put perk points into Authority and max it out. Doesn't matter what perks are picked up. Authority gives a passive bonus to thrall knock-out damage.
