When Conan said, " I want every 14 year-old listening right now to know that you're gonna love yourself in 10 years you're gonna be like wow what a cool person." I instantly cried. I've had such a negative thought about myself about my looks, personality, etc. and when he said this it hit me hard thinking, i want to be someone i will love when i look back on all these memories. So i want everyone to know that even if you think you don't do your best, at least try your best. Your future self will look back and be so proud of how much you cared and tried to make YOURSELF happy. This is the impact a little comment from Conan did to me. I look forward to hearing more from him because he helps me a lot with being... me.

Oh you’re such a strong soul!! I understand how you felt. When I was 14, I had the worst year of my life lol. I didn’t think I’ll make it to 18, but here I am. Trying to love myself, over and over again. For the past seven years I’ve been through so much and I was just a kid man. I’ve tried to love myself for the last seven years, and it’s not an easy thing. So my advice is to give yourself time, patience, focus, the ability to grow, learn and heal. Determination could go a long way, so stay strong. Ofc don’t be afraid to express yourself or be vulnerable with people around you or being vulnerable around yourself. You all got this!! (I love Conan’s music so much and he’s so relatable in a way that it heals my inner child 😣)

I've finally learned to accept myself for who I am and I still have negative thoughts here and there but I have my family to reassure me I'm ok ☺I'm starting High school in a month and I'm really excited. I'm about to turn 22 and when I heard him say this my first thought was "yeah no 14 year old me was such a loser like she had and was nothing" but I've just thought about this again and honestly I just feel SO much compassion for her. And my heart hurts for her bc when you're 14 EVERYTHING feels so so big and like, yeah stuff still feels big NOW but 14 year old me was still kind and sweet and she gave so much love to people even though at the time she felt useless, weak, small and unworthy of love. Honestly everyone is just figuring out who they are but you'll never settle on just being one thing, we're all constantly changing and growing even if it doesn't feel like it. You're going to hold NOTHING but love for your 14 year old self someday and like, it won't be a conscious thought but one day they'll randomly pop into your head and you'll just be hit with such a wave of simualtenously wishing you could protect them and respecting them for being able to get through everything that was going on. At the time it feels like any day will be your breaking point but you really do start to heal even if it's not in the way you think ❤️

This interview was superb! It made me want to jump right in & give Conan the biggest mom hug ever! My daughter has been listening to you since the beginning & absolutely adores you! We do this thing where we share each others favorite music with each other and talk about the song's meanings & breakdown the lyrics, and it has brought me more joy than I could ever put into words! Music has always been a huge part in our family's lives! I now get the total privilege of taking her to her very 1st concert to see Conan in Indianapolis on October 6th! This is her Sweet 16th Birthday gift & in her opinion, the best gift ever! We listen in the car, belting out the lyrics together & it has been so amazing to be able to do that together. We are from Northern IL, so we also get a road trip out of this as well & no doubt will be listening & singing all the way there & back.
