From what I noticed with Aussie cricketers, they tend to add a 'ey' as a suffix to any name. Say Michael becomes Miky , Voges becomes Vogey , David becomes Davey , Maxwell becomes Maxi (/y) , Hodge becomes Hodgy and so on . May be someone from Australia can clear my doubts.
