I know I should not generalize but I am Caribbean (from a very near Island) and unfortunately, some man here (in the Spanish speaking islands of the Caribbean) can be pretty possessive and overly male chauvinist. He is doing that only for tv. In real life he is an introverted person especially at home, very self conscious and anxious. He is very hardworking and if anything goes wrong, he gets depressed. He once said that in order to have great show, he should be unhappy before it, so he sits alone in a room. He talks to himself looking at the mirror all the time and even shouts at himself, if the show did not go as he planned and didn't get enough laughs. He said all these in his podcast.

One thing I really like about most americans is how dancing for is a figure of expressing their freedom to just flow with the act of dancing, regardless of what is expected, turning choreography style dancing (like the kind most of latin-american people do) into a unnecessary commitment. I am from Puerto Rico and I tell you, dancing over here is pretty difficult and somewhat square precisely because of the constraints implied by the culture of choreograph dancing. That is why I love this skit, it is beautiful to see somebody 'trying' to learn something from a different culture without loosing his sense of self -no matter if that sense is impervious to choreographed dancing.
