I have a very large client in Cullman Alabama. I visit quite often for business. I always stay in the Holiday Inn off of SR-157, the hotel Laura references in this interview. Cullman AL is not a large city, but it's not as small a town as she makes it out. The way she refers to the South as though it's a 3rd world country is very disingenuous on her part. Based upon her use of stereotypical tropes and by referring to Southerners as "those people", constantly asking if Conan or Norm had been to the South as though there is absolutely no reason to go there, is very telling; it's clear she has an utter disdain for the South and the poor, stupid people who live there. If she were to refer to any other country, region, or group of ppl that way, the woke mob would have descended upon her with a vengeance, but it's assumed she's just talking about white Alabama hillbillies so its fine. I notice she also played heavily upon the "dumb hillbilly sees a celebrity" stereotype. Remember, this lady has such an open mind that she believes in Scientology! How progressive and open-minded of her to join a cult!? I wasn't there, but based on the way she exaggerated the rest of the story, I can almost be assured that story about the guy trying to touch her didn't go down the way she said it did. It is possible the village idiot found her, and it went down exactly as she said it did, but I think its much more likely the guy was joking about "touching someone cool" and she didn't understand she was the butt of the joke. That's how disconnected "these people" (celebrities) are. Tell us all about Lord Xenu, Laura!
