That's actually really funny 😂 nice find. I feel like Conan is the only guy on late night television that is the same both on and off the air. Leno is definitely different whenever you watch his KZbin channel you'd swear he was never a comedian.... Kimmel (King of woke comedy) changes his own narrative every few years, it comes across as disingenuous.
@h3artands0uLL2 жыл бұрын
@@jace2802 Yes! Goodness I watched Leno’s KZbin ONCE and he was so dry and boring. Hard to think he was on tv for decades making people laugh. Conan is Conan whenever wherever. That’s why he’s the best.

There are great notes in the background of many of the remotes. In the Gigolos one Kramer has something like "it's proudly been 662 days since the last velociraptor incident" on his wall.
@billyeveryteen73283 жыл бұрын
Fun fact for the younger fans who might not know: in this remote, he uses the phrase "jubjub," which he apparently used a lot randomly when was a writer on The Simpsons, and they named a character's pet lizard on The Simpsons "Jubjub" because of Conan. It's also one of the words on the blue mug he's had on his desk since Late Night in the 90s; that mug was a parting gift from his fellow Simpsons writers when he left the show.
@stephanegerard5132 ай бұрын
Hello Billyeveryteen! That is an interesting piece of his personal history - and to add to it I could supply that I would frankly be shocked, given Conan's literary education, if the word "Jubjub" was not directly taken from Lewis Carroll's doggerel verse "The Jabberwocky": Beware the Jabberwock, my son / The jaws that bite, the claws that catch / Beware the Jubjub bird and shun / The frumious Bandersnatch ! Furthermore, I would be highly surprised if he did not find some resonance with the absurd abstract sensibilities at play in the poem, and if that same penchant was not shared among the comedians and writers he worked with in his career. I don't know if you will agree, but to me this seems an easy explanation to come to for the word's recurrent presence both as a sort of verbal filler for "nonsense" and as a talisman of (or even a litmus test for) humour. Hoping this finds you doing well, -Stéphane Gérard

A lot of NBC jokes went over my head for a small bit and Jay Leno. I took the time to look into the whole thing and I was left in shock. I am thankful to know your story and really I can't seem to get enough of your content. If I could, I would do anything to attend one of your shows. Especially on its final days because I would've took that opportunity if it I had known about you sooner and if covid didn't ruin that chance. Especially since I am soo finically stuck. You are amazing Conan. Thank you for inspiring me.

Ive been with him since his very first show, always been my favorite talk show host. Seems like he was a better fit for my age group than Letterman or Leno. And the older executives just didnt "get it", well atleast the guys at TBS did. Some of my fondest memories are trying to pickup conan on my CRT rabbit ears antenna late at night. In the late 90s no one was as energetic and fresh as conans show. Leno and Letterman was simply boring to kids in the 90s. (Although now i respect their style) Then when he lost his show to Leno i was so let down, i just stopped watching late night shows altogether until his return on TBS. Anyways great comment! Cool to see a newer fan.
