Guy Man idk dude late night was a more relaxed premise and a more relaxed conan saying whatever the hell he wanted and that was best to watch. TBS is getting great but it's not yet to the level of Late Night with remotes and stuff. I wish they did remotes like this or via satellite clutch cargo and other old stuff which btw are absolute comedy gold which only very few have seen.

In regard to your "do old bits thing." When Conan got to TBS, he made a decision to do as few of the NBC segments as possible. Partly because he had to contractually, and partly because he wanted to reinvent himself. He has. He's doing really weird, interesting comedy again. From WikiBear, to Minty the Candy Cane, there's a lot of great things happening at 11:00 on TBS.

I was in the Army/OIF for a long time. So when you go to places or do visits like this that are high profile. You’re suppose to be respectful and be you know… Serious at all times. Let’s say I loved how they were like that then opened up more. It’s okay to have fun in the military too and I hope those that currently serve know that. Also thank you. Most don’t know it’s not that easy to do basic, the. AIT, then more training daily, then wake up at 5am for PT everyday, and yeah. Also war and being away from everyone you love. I get it, thank you to the new generation.

So, by my uneducated guess the ranks of each of the navy guys (when they start walking at the beginning of the show) given the fact arms are rank, fronts are awards: 3rd guy in the row is the lowest ranking given his lack of markings on his left arm (or might be an actor) didnt see his front. The front guy is the second highest rank based on his left arm (he also has a few medals on his front) And the 2nd guy is probably the CO there to babysit. He has the the same markings as the first guy on his left arm, but with a few more \/ marks on his arm, plus a heap of medals on his front. Meaning he probably has had a bit more field experience over the other two, which would make sense based on his sleeve. Im literally talking out my ass here so dont take it to heart :)

The chevrons (V) is thier rank as a petty officer. The guy with 3 of them is a first class petty officer which is an E6 and the marks on his arm are signifying 4 years each of good conduct service. The guy with 1 V is an E4 a petty officer third class. The guy with no chevrons is a seaman/airman/etc (somewhere between E1-E3). The ribbons on the front are a combination of awards, sea duty, and can also be obtained through deployments. (Former Navy E5 here 2000-2005)
