Based on your recommendation, I purchased the Sisley Paris Phyto-Cernes Eclat concealer. It really IS the best concealer for mature eyes and I own two of the Peau de Cle Beaute concealers! Your review of the Sisley concealer is THE SINGLE BEST makeup suggestion I’ve ever gotten from KZbin. 🥇 Though expensive, so little is needed I’ve calculated the cost at $6 per month - and it’s worth the investment, since poor under eyes ruin your entire look. I don’t set it with powder, but always with the NYX setting spray, pressing the area after spraying lightly to smooth any potential creasing. Urban Decay’s All-Nighter doesn’t work as well for this purpose. I do use a gel eye moisturizer beforehand, and the results lasts all day!

I have discovered the joys of Mediheal Korean face masks (stored with bullnose clips, so I can reuse the mask before bed) this Winter I use *so much less face product* because all the redness, blemishes & irritations are reduced I can’t recommend them enough. The triple moisture & the ‘red light’ double step formulae are 🥰 just wonderful.I feel like my skin is soooo much better than even a few months ago. HUGHLY recommended❣️

So, I have a completely different issue than most people. I have a very rare liver disease, which has caused yellow splotches on my face, and under my eyes. My process to cover that is quite involved, but seems to work the best for me. I tried dozens of peach, or flesh toned correctors that just made things worse, so going by the color wheel, and color correcting module for the best information, I now use the Lancôme purple corrector on just the yellow areas of my face, and under eyes. I use the tiniest amount on an eyeliner brush, and use one of those small blender sponges to pounce it onto my skin. Then, I use a very pink based concealer, usually the Pat McGrath, or the Kosas on top, using the ELF Camo Concealer sponge to work it into my skin. Only on the small under eye area you showed, where my yellow splotches are. Then, I use the new Lancôme Tient Idole in a color that closer matches my skin tone, on top, blending it in with a small brush, and set it with the Pat McGrath under eye setting powder. I know this sounds crazy, and like a lot of product, but I use very thin layers, and don't apply it all over the under-eye area. So far, it's working better than anything I've tried over the last 20 years. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was at Nordstrom today and just purchased the Lancome Effacernes and the last tube of discontinued Lancome Maquicomplet Peach Corrector (with the sponge applicator, not squeeze tube). Its the perfect combo for my dry , fine lined , slightly dark undereyes. I asked about the YT hyped Teint Idoles concealer but was told it would be too dry for my eyes. Im bummed the Peach Corrector is discontinued so i will need to use sparingly and find a replacement brand when its used up.

Love these tips! I agree that Tarte Shape Tape is NOT for mature eyes but I rec'd a sample of the new one and it's not bad! On another note, whatever foundation you are wearing looks FANTASTIC!!

TIP: Sisley has LOTS of concealer & foundation pink sachet samples Get them to give you a few samples & bullnose clip them, until you figure out which ones are right for your application needs

I just ordered the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base Primer/Moisturizer. I hope I like it. I’ve told you this before, Anne..I tried to find a replacement for my Lancome Maquicomplet. I settled on the LM Flawless Fusion. I might give the ABH another chance but I will definitely try this technique!

I'm like you, Anne. Less is more when it comes to concealer! My "personal" favourite under eye corrector is the PIXI Corrector. I used to use the Armani Corrector (Shade 1), but it was discontinued. I can honestly say I like the PIXI just as well as the the Armani, which cost so much more. A little goes a long way, and it sure does make a difference when used under your concealer. Even on it's own, it provides quite a bit of coverage. I tried the Charlotte Tilbury corrector and didn't like it because it wasn't pigmented enough. I haven't tried the Bobbi Brown yet, but I am tempted......You really don't know until you try to know how it's going to work for you. I wish you all the BEST in 2022!

Love eye concealer videos! Thanks for the great information. My go to combo for the past month has been the ColorScience Total Eye 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy with a very small amount of the By Terry compact powder. Love the results! The CS has hydrating skin care ingredients. The BT powder contains hylauronic acid. I’ve heard some say they find this powder a bit drying, I don’t. I find it to be soo smoothing both under the and on my face. I have both the the loose and compact. I was on the fence a long time about ordering it b/c I never hear it mentioned in videos and it is pricey. I bought it on sale and happy I did! Wondering if anyone else has tried it and their thoughts on it. Thanks again Anne, love your knowledge and your personality!

FYI Sensei loose powder & Shiseido’s LX loose powder is incredible. I’ve gone wild for those, over a light set dusting of La Mer or Chanel, maybe a puff of Guerlain Metéorites if I wanna feel glowy & gigi I need to work up on my corrector & concealer game.

Hi Anne, I really like the way my under eyes look when I first set them but by the end of the day they look very dry. I use a very small amount. I’ve been using CT and Pat McGrath for the most part. 🤔I guess you can try it. I decided to test the Jouer hydrating powder under my eyes. It didn't go well. It totally creased. But since the CT isn't working maybe a hydrating powder would be better.

Try this. After light setting with powder spray a fluffy brush with setting spray. I use Mac prep and prime. Wave it around a second then Gently tap under your eyes. Hope this works for you b

What do you put under the rest of your under eye, if you don’t use concealer there or foundation? Do you just use powder? I’m still searching for the right concealer after spending big $$$ on other concealers that do not work. My 57 year old under eyes looks dry and crinkled when I put anything on them…..HELP!!! You can add concealer under your eye completely BUT always start at the inner corner with very little product. Blend it well there BEFORE blending the rest under your eye. Doing that you'll be applying less product so you won't get creasing. If the concealer you're using isn't enough coverage try using a color corrector first and apply it the same as the concealer. 🥰

Make sure you're hydrating your undereye area. Use a good eye cream in your morning routine. I use two😂I am so high maintenance.

A floppy, loose brush & Laura Mercier secret undereye powder is magic 🪄 over a moist base allowed to set, then a light cosmetic product. After it is tapped in, roll the brush in LM loose powder, then flutter is under the eye lightly. So blurring!

Have you tried using a a yellow color corrector? If you have brown circles that will help to color correct, or orange. Still would recommend starting in the inner corner and then blend it out if you don't want creasing.

I recently watched a video by Boomx Beauty Beat. The video is titled, "Is the New Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear The Best for Mature Dark Circles?" This "mature" woman had VERY DARK circles like you are describing. You may find her video helpful. She has found a concealer that works for her!
