Concepts That Should Be Added To Discord

In this video, I delve into some things that I think Discord is missing. There are plenty of interesting features that I think should be implemented into Discord. I made a video like this a while back, and some of the features from that video were actually added into Discord! Hopefully this one can also see the same treatment :)

They need to add the ability to clear all server pings for other members, like for servers that Ping alot that would be very useful.

You *can* hide pings on servers Notification settings: Suppress @everyone and @here + Suppress all role @mentions. This will not work for direct mentions but it will work for everyone here and role mentions

5:12 it is not unfinished, it actually appears for when you have discord's new (ugly) interface on mobile, but only to people who have that new interface. Also i noticed discord either uses some kind of algorithm or maybe does a request to gpt about it since they setup by default emojis that match perfectly the name of the channel!

About halfway through the video you mentioned how on mobile you can add emojis to a channel but it doesn’t show up anywhere. It actually does. The mobile client has a beta UI that can be accessed by sending the default :sparkles: emoji. If you send the emojis somewhere, click it to bring up the UI with the favourite button and hold the emoji there, you unlock a new UI. It is within this new look that you see the emojis for channels. (5:00 is the roughly where it happened)

These ideas would actually he so useful. I'd love to have these as actual features. But the show emoji featue on mobile channels? It's for the testing of the new mobile layout. You can unlock it by holding down your finger on a ✨ emoji.

For the role colors/effects one, I really don't think that will be good unless you can toggle it off. Lots of lowend pcs will suffer and that+super reactions will cause issues

7:06 you can literally hide visibility of pings by supressing the server, just right click on the server you dont want pings from and click supress @everyone and @here and set notifications from all messages to nothing

One feature i don't understand was removed was the ability to have your camera on discord on mobile, while in other apps. Sometimes i would like to play mobile games with friends with my camera on but discord removed this feature for what it seems like no reason.

To clear pings enable option to supress the mentions Right mouse click on a server and press “mark all as read” If you’re still having trouble with that, you’re skill issued

Cool thing would be cool, if you can add Custom Sites onto your profile. example: instead of putting your Website in ur about why not make it a Connection? (Nitro Feature)

it is a feature tho and you can add websites as a connection even without nitro! seems like it’s still an experiment because half of my accounts have it (or i am just unlucky, no idea, but check if you have a gray globe icon in your connections, that’s the website!)

Its sad that almost every single thing that the community wants can be enabled by using third party software like vencord which might get your account terminated. And the themes are already really good in vencord or better discord, discord should really focus on that rather than just saying ,,oh third party softwares can terminate your acc just cuz we dont want you using them''.
