Guys I want to share my experience :- Kulkarni sir is the best teacher of mechanical. Those who r preparing for gate and es follow Kulkarni sir. Then you all feel the beauty of subjects. He is best known for simplifying the difficult concepts. So Either join kame(sir's personal coaching institute) or join unacademy plus.

If the piston is in equilibrium,how is it moving upwards!

Piston air assembly are in equilibrium....When air is heated, it's vol increases and hence piston too moved, until new equilibrium established.

During any process the equilibrium has to be disturbed. But we disturb it quasistatically so that infinite no. of equilibrium can be obtained during a process and it moves reversibly. This is what is happening here.
