Hi !! What a splendid composition :D I love the sound of the instruments !! What program or Plugin do you use? I'm a intermediate-begginer composer and I'm composing on Musescore 4. I asked you this because some day I would like to increase the Quality of the instruments in my work

Man… you have smashed it out of the park once again with your work. The intricacy in this is nothing short of staggering. Everything is perfection. I truly think you must’ve reached your ‘mature era’ now because this is far longer and more complex in structure than anything you’ve written before. What is the structure of this movement btw? its definitely not the standard sonata form is it? The sound library is incredible, everything sounds so well balanced (apart from possibly the first chord of the piano sounding slightly weird but that isn’t your fault!), your use of the circle of fifths movement in the development section is as always really impressive as you are able to not make it sound cliche at all. Wonderful winds and percussion as always. I could just keep praising this. Going straight to my playlist! Along with your Basset Horn Concerto and Sinfonia in E flat (the memorable themes in those two are just so iconic and special to me!) this is surely one of your biggest masterpieces. Staggeringly impressive man 👏👏👏 EDIT: This has been up now for 7 hours but there is still no version with a higher resolution than 360p? What has happened? I hope this can be rectified because I cannot really see the score properly like this!

100% genuine sonata form. You didn’t notice?

@@brendangordon2168 just listened again and you’re correct! the relatively long development-like material between the first and second themes in the exposition put me off! in addition to the fact that I can’t see the score properly lol I hope Matthew fixes that 🙏

Another wonderful work, my friend. I did a little thought experiment: who would I think composed this piece if I heard it on the radio with no context? Interestingly, I've listened to a sufficient number of your works now, that moments like the orchestral tutti around 5:35 would have tipped me off to your unique style and approach. Thank you so much!

My thoughts exactly!! A unique style that would fit right in place at the end of the 18th century.

Sounds rather like Václav Tomášek's C major concerto, although I like this one better -- a bit more melodic and focused.

This is great. I agree with the comparison to Hummel that others have made. There are obviously also a lot of Mozartean touches. Do you mind if I ask what VSTs you're using? I really like the fortepiano sound here, and would love to try it out.

@@stevenklinden yes, I try to incorporate many different styles so you’ll find influences from the likes of Mozart, Hummel, JCBach etc. I use note performer along with Pianoteq :)
