You know what is really sad though, most Japanese artists I know of have never come over to the United States to preform live, because they have the fear that not many people know about them. So they avoid it unless there is at least a few million that like it in the USA.

***** Yes! check out Galneryus, Sex Machineguns, Skywings, Versaille, and Aldious. some of these are not as heavy, but still play really solid power/heavy metal of one kind or another. There's also a pretty good band called MergingMoon, more melodic death metal, they have a female vocalist with WICKED screams. Her cleans arent as aggressive, but it doesnt detract from the music IMO.

That singer sounds like Minoru Niihara singing power metal, which is not a bad thing at all, and the production is excellent. I really dig that drum sound! If there's one thing that the Japanese grok, it's good old fashioned heavy/power metal, and they deliver it and how!
