It is with great sadness to announce that the gentleman preparing the conch salad just passed away Sept 27th 2013. He was involved in a motorcyle accident on the island where he died instantly.

It's never gotten me sick my whole life. Bahamians are clean people and we are not poor and cannot afford proper sanitizing products.....imagine doing all the fine chopping with gloves....stop it. And first of all the acidity in the limes is enough to fix you issues with it being "clean"

Cutting veggies on the same board as raw conch seems quite unsanitary. Great personality though but the guy needs a proper wooden or metal board that does not stain and trap all the bacteria and parasites on the

Think about that the next time you go to a restaurant or a drive thru where you cant see who is preparing your food or how. Think about that when you take a bite of your takeout and the person who prepared it just left the restroom WITHOUT washing their hands with microscopic fecal matter on them. Think about that when you go grocery shopping and the hands of the item you've placed in your shopping cart handled who had a bad day and did something beyond disgusting to YOUR FOOD before it even hit the shelves at your local grocer. Lets not be so quick to be on our high horse. Unless you grow your ownfood and cook it yourself and know exactly what's happening to your food, let's drop the puritan act...
