@@dundeedolphin Total lack of soul or understanding? I can live with the fact that everything is out of tune, but his attitude is just crass. You don't bang away at an instrument without understanding it, and your certainly don't reduce a treasured composition to this.

​@@dundeedolphin Both. He has about as much duende as a week old boquerone. I will ignore the fact that is totally out of tune to the point that it made my ears hurt and talk about subtlety. Rodrigo wrote this during one of the darkest periods of his life. A blind man, forced into exile by the Civil War and Franco, and his wife just miscarried their child. Do you really think this rendition is appropriate? With him banging away on a badly tuned guitar and the orchestra sounding like they got rejected at Mardi Gras. Talent without empathy is nothing.
