sir can I include objectives in PhD conclusion? some people say it should be research question ?
@andrewbell-projectmanageme14343 жыл бұрын
If you have objectives, then they need to be discussed and 'answered' somewhere. Some people suggest that there is nothing new in the conclusion chapter. The conclusion chapter just summarises what has already been covered, bringing together the: • Further work • Limitations • Recommendations • Reference back to the Objectives (were they met? how far were they met? which chapter demonstrates this?) • Reference back to the Research Questions. (were they answered? how well were they answered? which chapter demonstrates this?) If you take this approach, then all of these topics would have been covered in much greater detail in the discussion chapter. The second approach is that the conclusion chapter introduces some of these things for the first time: • Further work • Limitations • Recommendations • Reference back to the Objectives (were they met? how far were they met? which chapter demonstrates this?) • Reference back to the Research Questions. (were they answered? how well were they answered? which chapter demonstrates this?) In this case, the conclusion chapter needs to be much longer and more comprehensive. Make sure that your reader knows where things are covered. The introduction to the 'Discussion' and 'Conclusion' chapter should let the reader know which approach you are taking.

Hello sir. This playlist is simply great. I have found it extensively helpful. However, I have a question. In the chapter of conclusion, sometimes researchers write the objectives word for word and then try to demonstrate if the objective has been fully met, partially met, or not met at all. Other researches, however, write the research questions word for word and then try to provide succinct yet in-depth answers. I have two questions: 1. Why researchers present the chapter of conclusion differently? 2. What is the difference anyway? Is this purposefully done? Will it be problematic if I have written any of them randomly (i.e., research questions and objectives)?
@ablesim66094 жыл бұрын
I guide students to have objectives. Some have objectives and research questions. Some have Hypotheses as well! In every case it is good practise to repeat them in the conclusion chapter and tell the reader if they have been met.
