I was gonna skip video because I didn't think it would be for me. I only do small concrete sculputres, just getting into it and currently making molds from foam, cardboard, etc. But I learned so much!!! This was so easy to understand and the demonstration was easy to follow. Thank you!!

I don't have room for a vibrating table, But what I did was go out and purchase a double ball vibrator for backs and shoulders with a handle. I just put it under the item and on the sides. and run it along it and works like a charm !!! for molds and concrete pavers I make etc.

Awesome!! If you'd like to upgrade, you can create your own vibration table for not too much money. We have an old video on it- kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnmqn3qrjMtrqZo

It looks like this technique would work pretty well for pavers. If I understood your technique adequately, it looks like you just use sand without and gravel or stone for aggregate. Would this approach be strong enough for pavers? If so, what would you consider to be a minimum thickness for a 12” or 24” square paver without any reinforcing?
@GlobMarble Жыл бұрын
It works great for pavers and stepping stones, check out some of our other videos like this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJe2e4JppKd4aMk

How do you make sure all your tiles are exactly the same thickness. 1 tile per 24hr per mold is very slow process. Is their a way to speed this up. Also how can you achieve very smooth surface. I can see dimples on the tiles. Which in this particular case is no issue. But in other tiles it might be an issue.
@GlobMarble3 жыл бұрын
The tiles will all be the same thickness if they are poured on a level surface and screeded at the top of the mold. You can add CSA which is a fast setting additive for concrete to be able to produce 2 molds per day at best. Most large production facilities just use many molds to mass produce their stones. You could cast with plaster of Paris which will let you cast up to 10 a day but the stones will be much more brittle because they are not made of concrete. By dimples do you mean bubbles? Bubbles are removed by vibrating the concrete. We sell vibration tables, and also just the motors if you want to make your own table.

How do you make white concrete

Using white cement and white sand will give you the brightest white, or you can use titanium dioxide pigment. You can learn more about that here- kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKWqfWybmM13hNE

How Can I Maintain The Original Color.. The Colors are fading each day after demolding
@patglenn77624 жыл бұрын
What did you stain them with?
@seifalbeshti94974 жыл бұрын
I add pigment to the mix 70 gram for each 1 kilo cement
@GlobMarble4 жыл бұрын
The color always fades after demolding, because the concrete is losing its moisture. There are two ways of keeping the color dark. The first is demolding after one week, but the downside to this is you have to wait, it will be much harder to demold, and the mold will not last nearly as long as usual. The second option is adding a sealer which will give the concrete the same color as when you wet it. Here are our sealers- globmarble.com/decorative-concretes/concrete-sealers/

Hello sir, I am from srilanka, manufacturing wall claddings using concrete. Still having a problem to achieve black color only on the the surface of the claddings. Please give me a simple advice. Thanks
@GlobMarble3 жыл бұрын
You should use our 8084 pigment and mix it at 2 lb of pigment per 94 lb bag of cement. If that is still not black enough, you can add a sealer to make it darker- globmarble.com/concrete-color-oxide-pigment.html

if you soaked it in a water bath for a week to a month it would just get harder. This is gorgeous
@GlobMarble3 жыл бұрын
The water bath is a common DIY method but for large scale production people create humidity rooms because they take up less space. A cheap one to do it get a shelf you can stack a lot of the castings on, spray a bunch of water all over it and cover it with a trash bag.
