Repentance. Revival is fleeting without repentance.

Indeed, repentance is necessary. However, true revival will bring repentance. Where there’s no repentance, there’s no genuine revival.

Revival does not come at all without repentance. However, we must move from repentance to faith, and then begin walking it out in our lives. We must also preach sound doctrine, preach the gospel of Christ to the lost. God isnt reviving us to live only for ourselves.

​@@joshuar1770True revival begins BECAUSE of repentance. "If My people...will humble themselves, pray, seek My face, TURN from their wicked ways, (repent) THEN" People see the revival and try to credit the worship and so forth, but first came the seeking God and the repentance. We see public revival, but they got there in their secret prayer closets, and praying together in private spaces.

@@sophiesmith5922 what we are both saying is consistent. To say revival is necessary is to say you can’t have revival without repentance first. This repentance then leads to more repentance. It starts with the Church, then flows outward. Note Acts 2. Furthermore, it’s God who gives us this heart of repentance as we seek him to do so.

Hopefully we can join together in prayer from afar, in our own “secret place,” to plead with God to show mercy on those around us, and to open our eyes where we may need to repent.
