Will this actually help if there is differential settlement? If there is movement in the Y axis.

I'm confused by the round end features. Isn't it important to have the stitch in tension before bonding? The video doesn't make any reference to carefully locating the drill holes. That just doesn't make sense, since from past experience drilling concrete, precise location is difficult at best. Or, are the round end features not so important, while the bonding actually occurs continuously along the length of the stitch?

Hey Lou. No stitch is already in tension before bonding. Tension happens when the stitch is already in service. I am a concrete repair contractor, and use this system successfully. Drilling concrete is an art, but we are able to get it on the spot by first drilling with a small guide bit and then the big bit. Bonding occurs on the hole are and on the length of the lock.

This video either is bad or the product is bad- what ever caused the crack is probably gonna continue to mess the foundation and cause more cracks This is one stupid product- a bandage for a serious problem

If the strap fits, the holes are in the proper places. The epoxy glue locks the strap in the cut channel & drilled holes (x2 ends).

Or just use rebar and regular epoxy
@RhinoCarbonFiber5 жыл бұрын
unfortunately rebar is made of steel, which has a tendency to expand and contract which causes more damage to the concrete. Carbon fiber does not do that.
@BrandonTran5 жыл бұрын
Also rebar is larger which means larger cuts.

Drill the holes first. Is this content from the manufacturer ?
@RhinoCarbonFiber6 жыл бұрын
It will depend on your preference. We have contractors that drill and then cut and others that cut and then drill.

This is a product for professionals doing structural repairs on concrete. It's not "way too complicated" for them. In fact, it's pretty darned simple. Go take your Ritalin, KidCity.
