Thank you for such good information. One question: My driveway was cut, but six years later, it is cracking. Can I cut it a few more times yo avoid further cracking?

Thanks for the comment! Using saw cuts to control cracking is generally only relevant during the curing stage of the concrete. I'm not saying that it won't help at all, but at this point, the concrete is probably cracking for a different reason. Concrete will crack over time, and as long as the cracks are minor/hairline cracks, I wouldn't worry to much about it. If the cracks are really drastic (opened up more then 1/8") then there may be a problem in the sub-grade under the slab. If this is the case, putting more cuts in the slab really won't help the problem. If the original cuts were to far apart or not deep enough, the cracking would have probably happened within the first year. Hopefully this helps! Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!!

I've been having lots of chipping when sawcutting, would a green blade make a big difference? I use the Stihl in a buggey

Thats your problem, dont use a demo saw to cut GREEN concrete, I hate demo says for decorative cut. Get a real early entry. I use it the next day and get no chips. I will say another reason I do t like to use a demo saw to cut likes. Is the early saw I use blade is half as wide as a demo saw. Obviously the sthl on cart is better than w out. A GREEN blade does work good, but wont last cutting anything besides GREEN concrete

Depending on stamp I like to use a hand held quicki saw and cut along a 2x6 or something. If a saw has small wheels it will rock going over grout lines.

I agree with @GRUBB-MUDD on this one. Always use a green blade for cutting green concrete. We've always had good luck with the Stihl chop saw on the cart or, at the very least, the Stihl wheel kit. The early-entry saws are the best for avoiding chips, though. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!!
