Excellent product. Could you use less water, example a/c: 0.20? that is, 1.8k of cement, 360g of water. It will give a little less fluidity, it will increase resistance! It's possible?

Yes, absolutely. The mix designs are very flexible. The superplasticizer just guarantees lower water demand in your mix, the consistency you wish to achieve is all up to you

What would you recommend for making concrete sculptures (clay like workability)? Would super-plasticizer work? It looks too runny here (or just use less water)? Thanks. Also great video, very clearly showing the process and how the workability changes.
@GlobMarble4 жыл бұрын
I would reccomend not using superplasticizer because its job is to make the concrete runny. Instead, use some 13 mm fibers and play around with water dosages until you get a consistency you like :) globmarble.com/alkali-resistant-glass-fiber-reinforced-concrete.html

Thank you for answering questions. I am in a Caribbean country where self-leveling mixes are not readily available. Can your super-plasticizer work with Portland cement and triple washed masonry sand to create an acceptable self-leveling underlayment?
@GlobMarble4 жыл бұрын
Super plasticizer works with cementitious material, it doesn't react to sand or any other filler. You can definitely use plasticizer with Portland cement to cut your water usage and make your concrete stronger, but you will have to test plasticizer on your cement. We offer high quality plasticizer globmarble.com/concrete-additive-water-reducer-super-plasticizer.html with dosage rate 0.5-1% by cement weight. If you use other plasticizer, check dosage rate prior using.

Hi, what's the average setting/working time from when its placed to when you can walk off job?
@GlobMarble7 жыл бұрын
You can cast and walk off your job if you don't use fast setting additives :) Concrete can take anywhere from 8 hrs to 24 hrs to set, it all depends on what concrete mix is used, weather conditions, the size of the mold, and the amount of water used. The cycle time can be reduced further by using only enough water in the mix as is absolutely needed, or using a faster setting concrete mix. Make sure that the concrete has dried and hardened before you try to release it from the mold, concrete will shrink slightly, during the hardening process, and will be easier to remove, just turn the mold over and pull with even pressure from the edges, do not use tools to pry the part out, as this can damage the part and mold.

Is this tile water proof? And what adhesive to adhere to wall, is it sound and thermal insulator?

The tile is made form concrete so there is a degree of sound and thermal insulation. Also, it isnt waterproof, only water repellant, so you can use a sealer on it to make is 100% waterproof. you can find our sealers here- globmarble.com/decorative-concretes/concrete-sealers/

In this case we used Portland cement, sand and super plasticizer. we didn't use an aggregate. This panel is 1/2 inch ( 1.2 cm) thick, general purpose sand with different size granules works good. You can try 1 part cement + 2 parts filler ( sand + aggregates). We used 1 x 1 cement by filler in this case, our PSI more than 10.000. with 1 part cement + 2 parts filler and w/c ratio 20-25% you'll have close to 10 000 PSI

@GlobMarble5 жыл бұрын
@@trevorhardy8193 Superplasticizers are used to enhance the fluidity of the concrete without adding water. Molecules physically separate the cement particles, these molecules temporarily neutralize forces of attraction between the cement particles. This gives the concrete much more liquid consistency.

Is this as strong as GFRC
@GlobMarble6 жыл бұрын
It's more then strong enough. You can reinforce the stone with fibers, but it doesn't make any sense. You can also make 1 part cement + 2 or 3 parts sand. All additives have to be re-calculated based on cement weight.
