Thanks this was helpful info. I ran into a pine tree branch close to the base of a large pine tree up snowboarding yesterday and have been a bit concerned. Feels more like I caught stiff right hook to the head. More pain (not constant or sharp..) than anything.. I've had bad snowboard falls before (always with helmet) but a concussion is a concern... Anywho- this put my mind at ease more. Purple Table Balloon!!!

Hi can you please help me with my concern?🙏 I fell on the ground with the left side of my body and i’m not sure if it hits my head. I stood up dizzy and rest coz i hardly breathe. Then I don’t remember what’s going on for about less than a minute. I forgot where i came and where to go for just a minute. But it quickly back then. My head is fine i don’t feel any pain or swelling. And i dont’t vomit or headache for the next 24hours. But i got left shoulder injury and neck pain. Until now it’s been week and i still don’t remember if i hit my head or not i’m just worried coz i got quick memory loss after the accindent. Hope you can help me i got so paranoid

Put it this way even if you didn't hit your head you probably got whiplash and that can easily cause a concussion believe me I know because it happened to me a couple of weeks ago.

I have a question what are the symptoms of a grade 2 concussion and do you lose consciousness

if a boxer gets knocked out from a head blow, does that mean he has a concussion? I took a hit and had a headache for about 2 days, facebone was hurting too. I felt normal after 2 days. Was that a concussion?

Yea after about 2 days I felt normal it was more of my facebone more than brain. I'm a beginning boxer.

I got hit on the top of my head by a random person who was mentally unstable. The hit hurt a lot but felt fine at the time. It's been over a week now since and still have some pain and pressure inside. I self evaluated and was only able to recall "purple". Went to a walk in clinic and they said just take ibuprofen for the pain if it's not severe. Is there anything else I can do for it?

@@fubumaruda2128 it's been a year and still have pain. Not that bad but I still feel it. Went to doctor and said I had a concussion lol. Need to go see a neurologist if symptoms get worse

I’m 19 and I ate shi while skating and ion have insurance atm but I fell and had some headache almost like a car crash feeling but the feeling went away after a bit I slept fine and arm pain went away as well the next morning but definitely scared the life out of me will definitely buy a helmet but definitely scared

Im no doctor but Ive had my fair share of concussions. Yes you can have a concussion without losing consciousness

Concussion is just a heavy hit to the brain where it impacts your thinking, not getting knocked unconscious though that can happen during a serious concussion
