People aren't talking enough about the Bregman play. One of the most heads up play I've ever seen. The quick reaction and no joke if that throw was like 3 or 4 inches either way they don't get the out. Props to McCann too because that was as hard a play as any catcher has to make. Incredible play any time but in game 7 of the ALCS to protect a 1 run lead. . Geez.

Astros had a perfect aggressive game plan for the pitching. They went right after the hitters with those breaking pitches again and again. You could see the hitters just waiting to catch a hanger, or a mistake, but the Astros pitchers executed PERFECTLY, pitch after pitch after pitch and the Yankee batters did not have the maturity and experience to lay off of those pitches. This will be a good growing process for the yankess, much to learn. As for the Astros, that was quite a ballsy performance to go after it like that I was really impressed.

Ahhh the Yankees, a team that has blown past the luxury tax limit every season since it was implemented. Even with them spending more money than any team since 2000, they won twice. They spent more money than ANY other team, and won twice. Their front office needs to rethink, because if any other team spent as much as they have, they wouldn't lose.

@haroldobrien43225 жыл бұрын
As Yankee fan, in this series the ASStros earned my grudging respect, especially Altuve. Now, to find out they were cheating, obviously including Altuve. And, recalling that the both teams only won their home games, it's absolutely obvious the ASStros likely don't win the 2017 AL pennant without cheating. Since they won the AL West by 21 games, they'd likely have been in the playoffs anyway. It still holds that they played the Yankees and the only four games they were at home and they were cheating. Not that the Yankees would've beat the Dodgers but the ASStros didn't even deserve to be in the World Series. Accordingly, I'm not one of those that think the 2017 title be vacated as that makes no sense and causes more problems than it solves. You can't say to a certainty, no matter how likely, that the Yankees would have won at least one game in Houston. Nor can you give the championship to the Dodgers because the team they likely faced, wasn't the team they should've faced, … AND they were cheating the Dodgers too. On the other hand, the ASStros will NEVER live this down, nor should they. The lot of them will be explaining this or the remainder of their respective careers, .. as they've earned it. I dare any of them to wear the WS Ring. My biggest question is; where was the leadership? Who was the voice of reason? Clearly not Hinch but why? I can’t wait for the next time Justin Verlander shoots his mouth off about juiced balls. Where was Verlander when his team was systemically cheating? Don’t tell me he was unaware. Additionally, Altuve won the MVP that year. Aaron Judge came in second. How does that change if the ASStros aren't stealing signs? I can’t wait for the first time the ASStros come to the Bronx. They are going to get booed mercilessly this year through out baseball, .. and the earned every bit of it, .. especially Altuve.

I honestly cant make up my mind if Altuve cheated or if hes just REALLY clutch... I think Correa, Springer and Bregman r the main ones... Marwin, Reddick and Gurriel r on the up&up... that's jus what I believe tho I cant prove it... but say what u will about them in the batter's box... they r str8 BEASTS with their gloves and rarely make mistakes of any kind, they dnt drop the ball they dnt make bad throws they dnt make base running mistakes NEVER... m a yankee fan but m jus callin it how I c it
@tcurr03094 жыл бұрын
I agree. The D was flawless and Charlie Morton was pitching like Black Jack Morris out there. CC Sebathia was good, but outmatched. Bregman makes the perfect throw to the plate, the shift worked in the late innings and saved a hit or two, and no Yankee was taking 2cd unless the ball was still rolling. Houston looked faster and better coached in all aspects. Having said all that, it can't be denied that Houston cheated on many occasions in the series and the outcome was not Legit. The Yankees were caught doing some similar cheat in 2015 ( I believe ) but in this series and this entire year the Astericks just cheated better than all the other teams. I blame the players union and the league office for once again tarnishing a great game. Lets hope they get back to honest baseball in 2021.
