interesting observation @ the end of the championship,ive been watching LPGA weekly goin on 5 years now,not 1 player there and congratulat Nelly,not 1 ,what does that tell you ? i dont know but i have never seen a a winner not be congratulated with a water or champagne shower ,this was the 1st time,not 1 american player more pointedly,the oseas players are close n support one another unconditionally so i found that vision of not 1 american player let alone any player approaching nelly after winning a major truly startling

I wasn't able to watch it live, and haven't seen any replays of any celebration after sinking the winning putt, other than the jump into the pond. But yeah, the lpga players are usually big on champaign showers for a major victory. I know she seems to be closest with Alison Lee, Megan Khang, and sister Jessica, but none of them were likely there, since both Alison & Megan missed the cut. I have heard Nelly insulates herself somewhat in a bubble to her inner circle, so maybe some of the other players are intimidated to approach her or douse her in champaign.

@@jessie6835 hmmm,i dont think theyd be intimidated ,theres some absolute superstars still out on the tour that have been carving it up in the last 6 years plus those that won multiple tournaments last 3 seasons,Kupcho being one of them,these type of players dont get intimidated theyre proven championship winners,Tavitannikat,Thitikul etc ,Henderson, but yeah you could be right on the missed cut thing ,a lot of the big names didnt even make the cut this week,in fact the most ive ever seen n then there was Vu and Ying withdrawing
