i feel this nerf was to avoid nerfing "newest content", it feels double bad cuz this weapon is clunky AF and not fun to play, I'd rather see weapon nerfs instead of tempest, at least it would keep hammer in a better state.

Hey. I'm new to Ele and this build seems hard to learn. Are the Hammer and Dagger/Warhown versions still ok or are they much lower dps? And which weapons are the easiest to learn?

I wouldnt say its too hard. its a bit harder than the other weapons but not so much that if youre starting from zero there wont be too much of a difference in how hard they are to learn. they are significantly lower dps. but they are still playable if you just enjoy them.

Am I crazy? Did they stealth change how Dazing Discharge works? I could have sworn before the patch that after using Aerial Agility, Dazing Discharge automatically turned your character model to face the target and shoot. Now you have to manually turn your character otherwise Dazing Discharge goes on interrupted cooldown?

Good to know I'm not crazy lol. It sucks that they changed it, especially without saying they had done so. Oh, have you had Aerial Agility cast but you don't move? I figure it's a bug since it rarely happens. It's so jarring not moving when I expect to that I stop doing anything to look at the skill bar to check if I actually used the skill and have an Air Bullet stocked. Haven't figured out what causes it though.

Eh, trying to follow the rotation but I barely go over 20k without food.

First of all did you activate all boons on yourself via the console? And did you give the golem all condis or at least 25 vuln stacks? If both answers are yes then you try to follow the rota too strictly I would propose in that case to easy it down to the most important skills Leave air out of it. Completely Just go fire - water - earth - water - fire repeat Also a common mistake here is get the bullets mixed up Just look at them; there is one version thats more doing more dmg Thats fire and earth 2 and water 3. You are just priming those skills with the other 2 or 3. Snowcrows precasts the bullets which i find more confusing. I essentially dont precast but i switch my rotation around to do f.e. Fire 3 and then 2, water 2 then 3 and earth 3, 2 The issue here is that if you mess up your rotation at one point the „wrong“ bullet stays which hinders your dmg a lot You constantly need to look for the bullet icons in your boon bar. If you precast they must be there; if you dont (like i do), then there must be none (the fire bullet +5% condi dmg must be there so dont get confused. Fire bullet is another icon). You stop the vicious cycle by not pressing both buttons, but just the high dps one and leave element I also use signet of earth instead of glyph (firestorm). It makes you more tanky and also does pretty good dmg. Plus its an immo so its even useful in some fights Unfortunately this is the easier ele builds (i found tempest hammer easier) but its still ele… So I understand if people are having a harder time on it Btw my dps with the easier rotation and food and all is 37k Enough for me and i am regularly in the top 3. Virtues are the biggest competitors in the general cases ^^

​@@Cross_111 you should add all condis/25 vulnerability??? Now with THAT ENABLED and without food and with a fairly loose rotation follow I get 30k... Yup, that is what I've been missing all this time. Thank you for the help! :D I'm also going to apply the rest of your info since I'm definitely loosing a lot of dps.

@@pierce_grossman happy to hear!! 😊 But pls dont misunderstand - all condis are not counted towards your dps. They just serve as preconditions for your skills. In the case of tempest the 25 vuln are the only thing counting, because they allow you to do more dmg. And thats not unrealistic - the group collectively always gives 25 vuln stacks from different sources and we are just stimulating a proper group 😊 If you need anything just ask and i will try to help as much as possible 😊

I just don't understand how it's possible for me to get 15k dps and you three times that. I had all buffs on me, all debuffs on golem... I know I only have about half ascended and half exotic and the food and focusing crystal are one tier lower but... how is that a difference of 30k?

Hey is Ele worth to learn? And what spec would be the best for someone that want to learn Ele? I own an Ele but i never really used it and low health shoudn't be a problem, bc i play much thief and guardian.

It honestly really depends. I personally benefited a lot from picking up ele, and my skill level took a significant leap after I got better at it, but that could just be me. If you want to learn a spec, again it depends. I found catalyst to be pretty easy to pick up, but hard to master... but I know the cons list on snowcrows disagrees with me. I would just play around with the different builds, learn the basic core mechanics of each spec and decide from there.

ele is like a curse, you play it and you if you get to enjoy it, everything else will feel boring. You gonna feel they anet hates ele, cuz all the bad designs and unnecessary nerfs, but you still won't drop it lol.
