Hell yes! Great stuff. Do you think you'll do tutorials again? I'd love to maybe see some short-form ones, I know its not really your style but I think theres a 'market' for it. This is especially considering how well you understand Smiths' works. Only a true, dedicated fan plays songs like you do- dead on accurate.
@ethandaum4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I appreciate that! I have considered doing that, so it’s good to hear this perspective. I like that the super detailed lessons make them available to less advanced players, but they are a huge amount of work. I could put way more volume out if I made less “produced” ones. I’ll keep thinking on that. But yes, I will do more tutorials. Did you see my fairly recent one for Independence Day?
@nameisemery52924 жыл бұрын
@@ethandaum I am tackling Independence Day as we speak! Totally understand the point about less advanced players- when I was first starting out, I actually found longer tutorials more "intimidating". Just my experience though. Thanks for all you do!

Love your channel ethan, your videos have helped me learn a bunch of Elliot’s songs. They’re by far the most accurate on KZbin so thanks for making them! Your waltz #2 had a very high level guide of the song which helped a lot, I know this is more complicated but even just a few chord notes would help me out. Thanks again.
@ethandaum3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words Nathan. This one feels harder to explain through text because there are some irregular chord shapes, and weaving of melodies through chords... But I think this one is very near the top of my list to do a tutorial for, so I hope I can help you out soon!

@@billyjoe8759 let's see... for video I have an iphone and a few good lights. I already had some of that stuff because I've done some recording in the past - you could just as easily use a free recording program

What are the three chords you play after bm to f# ? Those are the only ones I cant figure out, or at least get a good substitute
@ethandaum46313 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they happen quick, and I didn't always hit them cleanly either... I was going for (relative to capo) Am7 (x02213), Gmaj7/B (x20002), C (x32010). If hit cleanly, the high note (high E string) gives a nice descending melody while the bass line (A string) is ascending - a lovely effect
