Thank you for this nice tutorial! I have one question. I want to conduct a multiple regression with a ration DV and several IV: 1) a dichotomous variable (two-level nominal), 2) a ratio variable (score), 3) a four-level nominal variable recoded as dummy variables Moreover, I have other variables in my data sheet that I do not include in this regression analysis. So, if I do not include one of the level of my recoded "dummy" variable, how do I know that the other three levels will indeed be compared to the first level, and not to something else in my data sheet?
