Reminds me a lot of Pi'illo Blimport. A song that works perfect IMO as "Welcome to Pi'illo Island!" and "The game is over, you can finally rest now" type of song. I love when songs have double meanings. Works even better with Conductor Island.

This song is truly a masterpiece. It is built perfectly for how it is used, it succeeds to make you feel strong emotions, and it conveys really good vibes. It's everything I want when I listen to a videogame OST. A music that manages to make you feel an appropriate emotion for what is happening actually in the game. It's what makes an OST truly good, and it is why videogame OSTs are so different from regular songs. (Also, I think this ost feels like a mix between a Pokemon Mistery Dungeon ost, and one of those melancholic song that were added in the added content of DDLC+)

I agree. This song is beautiful. Prior to this game's release, the last Mario & Luigi I played recently was the OG Superstar Saga. Hearing the part at 1:48 made me think of the credits theme, "Going Home", and I actually shed a few tears. A beautiful piece to remind us of the series' roots.

Spoilers: Winding up back here after nearly getting disintegrated by a glohm beam was perhaps the craziest part of this game so far (as of now I'm right about to go to the Soli-Tree but do know that I'm going to be in the Mushroom Kingdom thanks to thumbnail spoilers) since almost losing Twistee and Heatfreeze.

The entire Bowser's Castle section of this game was kind of a horrible slog for me. So many horde battles against enemies that outspeed and annoy you with status after status, then Glohm Bowser being incredibly difficult on top of that. I was actually ready to give up on the game for a while upon realising it wasn't the end. Not to mention the January blues were hitting hard. And then I washed up here and heard this theme again, as I had done for the first time on Christmas Day a week and a half prior. I had completely forgotten about this island by that point, including the boulders blocking the second half of the island I hadnt even realised at the time I would later be able to break. It was a much needed reset for my view on the game at that point. This is a really wonderful song.
