I don't know how to thank u for explaining this thing in such a simple and elaborative manner.I was really struggling with this and tried to find videos related to this, but found none like yours.THnk u so much ma'am😊

thank you!!.. you answered my question as to WHY there is no Net Field inside the Conductor... and I have to admit. I've seen several other videos that did not explain the WHY.. but you did!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :) ... now I can scratch that curiosity from my list ...

How we know that both electric field have the same magnitude, the direction is clear but not the magnitude.
@mabs2396 жыл бұрын
If the electric field were not zero, it will keep moving charges inside the conductor such that the +ve charges keep moving towards right and -ve charges towards left. Obviously it can not happen forever but only for short period of time, the time till the new inbuilt field because of charge separation balances out the external electric field. So when no charges are moving it means zero electric field.

We assumed that the both field are equal

@mabs239 how would positive charges move? The protons are "stuck" within their nucleus, aren't they? So it should be only free electrons that move.
@samannaz46754 ай бұрын
@@tamanduabandeira1155 metals have both the free electrons and the positive metal atoms so when placed in the electric field ,electrons move opposite to the electric field while the positively charged metal atoms will be attracted towards the direction of electric field

@@tamanduabandeira1155 metals have both the free electrons and the positive metal atoms so when placed in the electric field , electrons move opposite to the electric field while the positively charged metal atoms are pushed away from the point charge that is also positive (so positively charged metal atoms having more protons than electrons move or are pushed in the direction of electric field)

if i had a conductor but empty in the inside, would it also remain the same as a fullfilled material ?

Ok madam. Thanks it was much informative and simple. Can I give this reason to my students that their for external electric field lines cannot pass through the conductor????? Reply me plz

why charge accelerate when field is not perpendicular

why charge accelerate when field is parallel
@JohnDoe-lz4gk4 жыл бұрын
Coulomb's law. The force is equal to the parallel component of the electric field times the magnitude of the charge. This causes a motion through the surface.

why charge occurs on surface when field is parallel to surface
@upendradeshmukh49886 жыл бұрын
First off, electric field is never parallel to the surface of a conductor
