Ex Pyrotechnician. Loved adding cone fountains to shows. Even a big show, you can use 10 or 20 cheap fountains to stretch show time with beautiful effects.

My favorite cone fountain is the Number 3's they are medium sized shoot at least 7 feet in the air and quiet so i can light them late at night(past 10pm) in the yard and not wake people up.

The thing that cracks me up is the idea that you can only do fountains in “safe and sane” states. Technically speaking yes, but living in Phoenix I can tell you that tons of people here do “unsafe and insane” stuff and the cops never bother about it. My neighborhood goes crazy with tons of shells, cakes, etc. and never any police.

Here in Uriugay we don't have much restrictions on the quantity of pyro material on fountains, so there are a few 2kg real cone fountains... Heavy and very fierce about 8 meters or more high (25 ft ). But no "willow" effect... Just silver or golden with stars and an epic crackling finale. I love that "willow" stars which reminds of real lava bombs.

i live in california the cones firework they got here are worthless 1 medium cone will cost about 30-40 bucks last only bout 2 minutes n reach about 3 feet high..

As someone who lives in a safe and sane state I have to tell you that our fountains pale in comparison. Cones were outlawed in my state many years ago and there is a huge height limitation that I believe is somewhere around 3-4 feet; don’t quote me on the exact standard but it’s well below my own height. Also the marking of safe and sane is purely arbitrary. Only select fireworks are approved in safe and sane states regardless of what the label says. Fountains in less restrictive states are far superior.

Not all cones are “Cones”. A great cone fountain has poured in comp and grows as it burns towards the bottom. Some of those are just tubes disguised in a cone exterior. Crack Cone Cane is a great little dude. I’ll have a cone present or 2 for you when you visit the stand.

Thanks for this video on cone fountains. I'm a few years older than you and I can remember when cone fountains were quite impressive! And you were right that some of these cones are a lot less performers! I've been keeping notes on your videos so as to get the mot bang for my buck. I have to go across the Missouri River to my big brothers house as Fireworks in St. Louis County are banned. Yes many people still launch their stuff here but, it's NOT worth the risk! ❤

Hey Cody I know this is off topic I love your content hey have you heard of the Damascus shells I was at my uncle's demo bada boom fireworks and they showed Damascus shells everybody at the demo I'm talking hundreds and hundreds of people rush to the store after the demo at like 11:00 at night to get those shells I also bought a case they are amazing please do a demo on Damascus buy fisherman fireworks

He's a lazy KZbinr. Doesn't elevate his fountains. Shoots fireworks off on windy evenings, sometimes ruining the effects. Uses lazy and dangerous makeshift mortar racks despite having dozens of wooden ones. Lazy fusing. Rarely uses drone footage of firework demos despite people always loving such angles. Rarely uses multiple camera angles or tripods to ensure he has a multi-faceted view of the item he's demoing. Frequently takes the Lord's name in vain. With the cost of fireworks these days and with 800k subs, you'd think he'd take a little more care in making sure his actual demos are the best looking reference demos on KZbin so us pyros can get a good idea of what the effects and duration are of the items his demoing. But alas, he just seems to just throw his videos together on a whim with little to no planning. It seems to be working though since he's bafflingly become the most successful KZbinr in the genre.
