Description
CONE PENETRATION IS : 2720 (PART V) −1965
Cone penetrometer → central angle 31° and sliding mass 80gm.
Cone penetrometer is placed over the cylindrical mould carrying soil sample having size of 5cm height and 5cm diameter.
𝑤_𝐿 taken as water content in which cone penetrometer gives the penetration of 20mm.
High plastic soil have high 𝑤_𝐿 thereby possess high compressibility.
