High level king is cool, seeing less competent players unable to break throws and get hit by 50 armor kicks in a row isn’t
@harpot6786 ай бұрын
@@Giotron It's so funny that how anti newer player King specifically is. His throws are balanced at higher level through a knowledge/execution test that new players will never perform, you cannot just start mashing buttons on King because he has 2 (at least) very powerful power crushes, and the only counterplay new players will have against grab is duck (they cannot break throws, and you also need to know TO duck), ducking also being a risky high committment option that could get you launched. A new player also probably won't have the wherewithal to punish the King player hard from a successful duck under a grab.

@@ahnixcreations interesting take. can you explain why? I really liked your testament stain left/right mixup btw
@ahnixcreations8 ай бұрын
@@unda4549 thank you! As far as the comparison, they’re very movement heavy, poke heavy games, where most moves are minus if blocked. I kinda compare air movement in smash to Tekken’s horizontal movement since it’s a 3D game. Of course it’s not a perfect 1:1, but I do think there’s a lot of parallels. Even the ground game in Tekken (when your opponent is knocked down) feels a lot like the ledge/recovery game in smash, since Tekken lets you stay on the ground, doesn’t give you invincibility while you’re knocked down (excluding ukemi which is a tech roll option, though it works a little differently from smash) and the attacker is heavily at advantage not just from the threat of a mixup if they do stand up, but with the threat of preventing your opponent from getting up in the first place, just like trying to get back on stage in Smash.

Also I can't really lie. Like you touched on, those laggy games were a real piss off. Leaving a separate comment cause I don't wanna be a complete hater, but my god that KILLED the momentum of that event. It is "technically" a casual event, but the attitude, presentation, and everything else was professional. Including the great prizes, including a fucking Evo trip of all things. I know everyone also agreed and knew beforehand, but even with that, it didn't look like anyone was happy about that lol. "Oh but they both deal with the ping" works a lot less when you can practice consistently, for weeks with that, versus having it dropped day of, unexpected. And then of course, daring not to smile and wave through it, just salty fan angry about X Y or Z losing. Totally not annoyed at the momentum change so obvious that even the streamers can't hide it lmfao. That condescension just locked me into Coney and my other interests streams and ignoring the rest of the Sajam content ngl. Only reason I wanted to rant here was because I got more hate/borderline harassment leaving a comment trying to word that politely on the vid summary lmfao.

People act like the trenches of a fighting game are something so clean and high level, no I do the bare minimum over and over until somebody stops me and if nobody does all the way to purple rank then that's their weakness. Super get the "love tekken, don't like tekken" thing, the wall truly is enormous in learning how to play Tekken against people who know what they're doing. @@AccelgorTheNinja He played king and did well. Playing King was bad enough, but like the Phidx clip said, Coney played Tekken to win, not as part of a long career, or as a fan assuming/mimicking pros. So he did simple shit, and did it well. Plus scrubs can't learn to break grabs.

Watching this live was a magical experience, I don't think there's any way that a video can expose the pure emotion of chat and Team Brawlpro. Hearing the screams of "THAT'S MY GOAT, THAT'S MY COACH, THAT'S MY KING, THAT'S MY FUCKING DAD" is incomparable to anything you get outside the FGC Incredible video regardless, and I'm so happy to see this Coney Tekken arc however small, recognised and memorialised forevermore

People berating Coney for being a purple rank is the perfect example of Tekken players being elitist hypocrits. Ive been playing Tekken since Tekken 3 and have played every title and am currently Tekken Emperor on a chunk of cast, And I for one am happy to see someone actually be so good off the bat, which is arguably in a game where biggest hump new players get is not getting instant feedback of progress, VERY hard to do. And even if this supposedly the “hardest game in FGC”, its not hard to learn spacing and armor/move priority ESPECIALLY for a former pro player. People act like its a surprise fromer CSGO pro players are suddenly good at like Valorant. 😂

The level of association between my streamer and Rosemi being this close is so funny to me. I was hoping and praying Coney would have to be matched up against a vtuber when I saw the list of players lol

I always enjoy your content CONEYZZ, but this hit different than anything else. I could feel the passion in the script and the Hype of the moment to moment. Truly a solid video and now I am downloading the T8 Demo
