Conferment Ceremony of Dr. Nangolo Mbumba

Traditionally, a conferment ceremony involves the incoming President receiving the sash from the outgoing President.
President Nangolo Mbumba did not have such a ceremony due to the circumstances in which he took over. As a result, former President Hifikepunye Pohamba will hand over the sash to the current President. This is a standard practice when a President assumes office.
