Severing ties with my job despite the money being good. It’s draining me & rn internal riches are what I need rather then material goods. I’m protecting myself in recovery & if that means letting go of the toxic environment then so be it. I am a little worried about finding another job as I don’t have a offer yet but I can’t imagine staying there any longer. I actually found a good job through my friends who are recovering addicts. I’m happy to have the freedom to dress, feel,& be while paying rent. It’s not permanent but it’s definitely something I think is a blessing I was asking for.

Wow thanks everyone for answering and sharing your experiences. I didn’t think my comment would get so much attention. I guess I’m torn between a 9 to 5 job at a big company with lots of social benefits, that I’m really good at and where I have the potential to grow, and a more artistic career path. I’ve been learning tattoo, and I’ve been drawing and painting lots of stuff recently and it helped me so much. Making the leap between a more stable financial life to something I really truly like is a tough decision, but I feel that I’ll make the right one. ✨🙏

I know other people have said it before. But I got this notification on the road trip home from an interview/tour of a new job offer. I'm going to have to move, leave the parents, dog, room, comfort zone everything. Seriously worried about if I'll even be able fit in at the new job work wise. Or I can take a contract job In my area, but be close to family. After 3 hours and heavy traffic I had a panic attack, about so many life changing decisions. I’m every other Cuban living in Miami and your spanish is great! Very honorable that you’re learning the language. I have a lot of solely english speaking friends that get very frustrated by the majority of spanish speakers here yet make no attempt to learn it, so it’s a breath of fresh air and really shows what a positive person you are. Since I understand you’re in SFL also, do you think you’ll ever offer real life reiki sessions some time in the future? I have been calling on my fluorite tumbles lately, I mean, I can’t walk out of the door without them, they call me! To make it worse, my bf is high risk & we live apart, so no idea when we'll be able to see each other again if I start working. Such hard, hard choices to make, & I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but not necessarily what comes through in the news- the really personal impact of this pandemic & its unpleasant dilemmas.
