I wish there was a way to meet and get to know people in person these days. Everything is online and that can be a blessing but at same time it can be hard, dangerous to meet people that you meet online cause so many people fake who they are. I feel like it causes me personally more excited and I had a couple bad experiences meeting people offline. It's awesome you know who you are. The things you talk about and what you believe in just gives me hope for people of this world and our generation and the next. We all can be good people, do better and make this world an amazing place.

CS Lewis was talking about common morality such as "Knowing it's wrong to steal" or "knowing it's wrong to purposely trip someone while they are walking" All of that is still here, but it's just that people no longer care about it and they do it anyways. Not all people obviously, but I just wanted to clarify that CS Lewis was talking about the inherent feeling of stealing something and just knowing deep down inside that you are not supposed to do that (just one example). Like if someone shoplifts, they can't argue in front of a judge that they just didn't know they couldn't do that and be free from blame because there is a universal acknowledgement that stealing is wrong and everyone should know stealing is wrong unless they are somehow mentally challenged or something of that sort. So I think CS lewis' words are still true today, it's just that people have gotten more bold and have come up with better manipulation tactics over time. I mean when someone makes fun of someone or says something horrible on a youtube comments page, they know that they shouldn't be doing it. I love your channel man. You are so well spoken and such a good soul. I loved you on the Middle obviously but this may really be where you can do the most good. You are a special human being for sure.

I knew someone that had Osteogenesis imperfecta (among many other things, sadly) once. I have a chronic illness and had an internship at a place where people with different conditions and illnesses are better supported. She had such an extreme determination to do that internship, it was something to behold. No doctor believed she could do it and she still ended up succeeding. She died a couple of years ago but I still think of her sometimes. I‘m glad to hear that you are so confident! The hair suits you, imo!

First of all, let me just say, Atticus, that I love your hair. It looks beautiful. It makes you look so cute. Second, this was definitely a blessing to me. I may not have a physical disorder, but I do know what it's like having limitations, being different, and learning to except that, due to my Autism. Atticus, it is so great to hear that you know who are in Him. You are right, it is not what others say , but who He says you are. I will be showing this to my children (ages 11-21) This is something that is so important especially in the times we are living in. I was picked on in highschool which really affected me, I guess I was an easy target. I am grateful because I did have a handful of friends who stuck by me. I went to youth group and did girls brigade which I ended up being a leader...along the way I have learnt my strengths and that I am loved and created fearfully and wonderfully made. I am passionate about teenagers knowing their self worth and that they too are loved by a God who created them and is there for them always.

Just found your channel Atticus and so glad I did! The Middle is still our family’s favorite show! Your confidence and faith are so beautiful and an encouragement. I also have an autoimmune disease and a few other conditions and find my faith in Jesus is how I am able to cope and never give up. I will be sharing this with my 18 yr old daughter tomorrow. I believe it will encourage her as well. She just graduated from high school in May. She was always homeschooled. We did something called classical conversations so some of your references and quotes will be familiar to her. 😊

I’m glad I stumbled across this video! I have a two autoimmune conditions and a few neurological ones, and I still struggle with having confidence and accepting myself sometimes. It can be hard, though I wouldn’t want to change myself because I am who God made me to be, and I like myself. I am glad to hear how your mom has helped you. Thanks for sharing her words. I am blessed with a wonderful mom, too. I couldn’t be more thankful for her and how she has always been there for me and has even fought for me when she has needed to in the past (school, etc.). Having good friends helps, too. Thanks for sharing this video. I think your hair looks nice! 😀

the double edged sword in this story is, the more unique one is the more one thrives, the more your surroundings feel threatened and will test your self confidence. so to that effect, i think self confidence is the basis to start thriving on afterwards. and self confidence also comes with age. once you pass your 30s your start not giving so much about social validation anymore, and actually start to just have fun again like you did as a kid before you hit teenage years and conforming was more important.
