sir , why u have written like "PropertyConfigurator.configure(System.getProperty("user.dir") + File.separator + "log4j.properties")" , why not "PropertyConfigurator.configure("log4j.properties")" , although i have use both way and working fine , plz tell me the difference between writting both ways

Sir i tried adding the log4j jar through maven but then also I am getting error(only able to use util package getLogger() method). I have tried updating maven project and also cleaned the project then also i am not able to import the package org.apache.log4j.logger. What should I do Sir?
