We have had 6 Cuebi lights for a couple years in a church. They work perfectly in our building during a practise, or if there is less than 150 people in the building (seats 800). However they get interference or something if there are lots of people. We have a dedicated wifi SID just for them with 3 repeaters, yet they only work intermittently. In a studio they are great. Keep away from them if you have a room of people with Bluetooth enabled phones (these only work on 2.4GHz too). We have line of sight 15m from some of the lights, and even then they are not 100% reliable.

Also I saw that you had a teradeck, which model do you have? And is this Tally light system a replacement for the Teradek?

It’s an old bolt, it’s not a replacement, I just attached the remote light to the base of the transmitter so the people on stage can see it.

I am looking into getting the big light that you put on the camera but I wanted to know if I could just buy those and connect it to my blackmagic atem switcher. or do I have to buy the small lights and connect the big lights to the small light if that makes sense.

You can, there is a way to wire it in with some adapters, this was just much simpler for me especially since 2 of my cameras are already wireless.

Ah really cool and I also have ATEM mini pro. I am rigged up for a nightclub and wondering how you think it would perform? Any performance issues or connection problems during broadcast / battery issues / battery life?

They do tend to disconnect from the WiFi sometimes. But you just unplug them and plug them in and they come back within a couple seconds.

I also work in a RF dense environment so that may be an issue.

Was it that easy for you to connect to a wifi? That's been my hardest challenge is having it connect.
