Really, all that setup was for nothing, the dude could have just told the protagonist to go in the bunker and lock the door behind him, he'd probably do it.

I love that ABG's mute acting makes our tourist trapper that much more sinister as he repeatedly ignores obvious attempts to make him go away and practically drags the weird American with an object-throwing compulsion into the bunker. The plan to escape by blowing oneself and the bunker up rather than just crawling out of the missile exit is kind of hilarious too.

I played the demo in VR, the abandoned environments have a great sense of atmosphere and immersion. Will be interesting to see what the rest of the game is like.

When I went on the Trans Siberian, there was a drunken Millwall fan on the same train. Causing loads of trouble. People not from the UK may not know Millwall fans' reputation, but it is not good, to say the least. Most of us were praying that they would sling him off the train into the Siberian wastes, but he was still there at Beijing. He thought I was German, not a fellow Brit, and I told others in the same carriage not to tell him my true nationality. So I didn't have to talk to him, thank god. But the opening moments of this game gave me flashbacks!

Imagine you are exploring an old Soviet bunker, see a control panel with a red button, press the button, hear a loud noise followed by dozens of other loud noises, the exit collapsed, you manage to find another way out after, step out of the bunker, the atmosphere is hot, silence in the air, fire and smoke together, everything is ruined, the buildings are collapsing, and on the broken wall is the inscription "WWII" with an extra "I".

Well... I understand that the author of this game lives in Australia and does not have the opportunity to see with his own eyes what Soviet military installations look like, but he could at least look through the pictures on the Internet. Although, probably, this is how everything should look from the stereotypical point of view of a foreigner: empty bottles everywhere, enlarged copies of the Order "For Victory in the Great Patriotic War" on the walls, and so on, only bears with balalaikas are missing, this is exactly how we have everything 😁 I laughed at the signs lying on the floor "caution wet floor" - historical accuracy is obvious :) The Soviet soldiers mentioned in the letters have typically Russian names Stan, Marlen, Vladen (I would somehow believe Vladlen) And of course, more electrical panels with civilian round porcelain fuses, which the military does not use at all. This is what happens when you use free assets 😀 These are just the most obvious things that caught my eye, there are many more to list. Although the author certainly did a good job of creating an atmosphere. Unless you know what such objects actually look like. To do this, just go down to any bomb shelter, of which there are plenty left on the territories of enterprises from Soviet times, many of them are even maintained in normal condition.

Hopefully they do some work smoothing out the soundscape and the perceived origin of sounds. Footsteps, doors, physics objects. The game could look like it was designed in 2001 but if the audio atmosphere is done right it will be spooky and intriguing

I am interested to see the full game, and it is well designed, but I feel like this would have been a just as good point and click game. And the end implies something as to what was implies by the guy you just met who was surprisingly not trust worthy was talking about, but I feel like it needs more to it's look. There are so many abandoned Russian building games, Nightcry and STALKER being some, but this just does not do much to make itself stand out. Also, if the gate needed power to stay locked, why not just get an axe and unfix the wires?

You telling me the guy comes back to this place he seems to be afraid of and just unlocks the door? There are little plot holes and I again, feel like this would have been a better point and click as most of this is railroaded anyway.

I think the girl's probably dead and the guy unlocks the door and breaks the wire before he lures people up there. As to why he does it, I guess we'll find out in the full game - maybe it's to feed whatever monster you're locked in there with or maybe people are watching via CCTV feeds for their own entertainment.

Hi! Because this is a no commentary channel then nodding or shaking my head are the only ways I have of conveying my feelings about certain situations in games. I generaly try to reserve shaking the head for moments when I really don't think the character should do something (like letting the stranger in the cabin), or for scary moments when I think "oh no F that". It's meant to add some form of reaction to the events that are taking place, rather than just walking through it like a robot. I don't just randomly do the head movements for no reason and there are plenty of first person vids without any (the Lorn's Lure videos for example). In this video the character made a series of very bad choices at the start of the game so I guess there were a few head shakes early on in quick succession. I hope this clears anything up and you aren't too offended by the head movements.
