Some he does immediately. Some he doesn't. Usually, depending on how difficult it is, Max performs the combos to his 4th or 5th try. For people that plays fighting games such as SF reading those inputs and knowing exactly what buttons to perform comes natural. Like a second nature.

It's just time put in mate. When I combo trial now I do 75% first try these days. I drop combos a fair bit with the hards one in a match but eventually it just becomes muscle memory and becomes all the more rewarding when you succeed. The first time I did a ToD in DbFz in an actual (online) match my Mrs nearly shit herself I exploded so hard.

Through this story, I've concluded the context as to why Seth is now in a female body, but kept his masculine voice. Juri accidentally installed Seth's personality onto one of the Bison dolls kept somewhere, and the mish-mash between Seth and the core operatives of a Bison Doll made Seth's new mission to be "Beat up Bison (Which is Ed right now) and gain power." Pretty cool way to make Seth ワイフ material.

This just solidifies my issue with SFV and Capcom's approach to story modes; there's just not enough; the core story is now nearly five years old and doesn't cover about 50% of the characters, when they could have easily done an update - especially with Gill appearing. And the smaller character stories are super bland; I'm not asking for anything on the scale of Blazblue's branching path stories for each character, but a little more depth wouldn't hurt.

But yeah, the barebones character stories just feel lazy and lacking in production value compared to Blazblue; I keep going back to that but for me that was the coolest way to put across a story, to have branching paths for each character with a good/correct ending and to have a 'true' ending unlocked to play after going through with each character. The presentation was more 'visual novel', but they did so much with the characters and the interactions were really broad and varied. Capcom should have no excuse not to make something immeasurably better given this is the number one fighting game franchise in the world.

I think the problem was that Juri took the machines she was using too lightly without realizing the consequences of her actions might be far harsher than she thought.
