As I mentioned in another video, extraordinary the amount of key details you deliver. Immeasurable, the frustration with opting for the wrong model just because of lack of information. Pointing out the widths and span sizes helps us educating ourselves about the most little known details when it actually comes to the fit and daily wear of such sought-after time pieces. That’s what I’m looking for in content. Keep it up.

Well done my friend.. I have a small wrist so the 37mm works for Me the 41 mm I’ve seen is just too huge
@Hiro-xq8dq4 жыл бұрын
I want to geta 41 or 37 mm but tbh i just dont know which works for me. I have a size 17 wrist from a cartier lvoe bracelet i tried on at the store. My friend has a 15400 41mm that i tried on and it fits okay, we "resized it to my wrist" and it fit well around but if i took one link out it would feel too tight if i let that link stay in the band it would fit okay but still have "giving sliding movement" up and down the wrist of like an inch. is that too much? any opinion helps.
@HafizJMehmood4 жыл бұрын
AP sell 1.5 link for Royal Oak 15400 or any other model. Just remove two links and install that 1.5 links and it will be snug fit as you want. I had the same problem and ended up getting the 1.5 link - no issues after that.
@Hiro-xq8dq4 жыл бұрын
Hafiz J Mehmood really now, how much are those links? Where would I buy that? But would it fit seamlessly to whatever model I buy?
@Hiro-xq8dq4 жыл бұрын
Hafiz J Mehmood also thank you for such a meaningful response⚡️
@HafizJMehmood4 жыл бұрын
Every model has its own 1.5 link due to bracelet width and thickness. So you’ll have to buy link for either 41mm model, 37mm or 39mm; they’re not interchangeable. They’re around $300 or so and can only be purchased from Boutiques. Or try finding eBay if someone’s selling preowned one. As for figment, yes, they’ll fit like normal links but of course they’re a little longer (1.5 times length) than standard link.

Hello, I am interested in purchasing a Royal Oak for my birthday in April 2021. After watching this video I wanted to ask you if I should go to the 15450. I have a seven inch wrist and own the ceramic submariner bluesy. I also have the 40 mm 114060 which is a sub no date with the Maxi case. The submariner would probably be the largest size I would like to go I also on a DJ 36 which I love to wear once in a while but I do feel this is a little on the smaller side however it is a very comfortable watch. In your opinion should I go for the 15450? Or will I want the presence of the 15400.? I appreciate your videos and your time. Thank you

Great video, Hafiz! Question for you - in your 15500 video, you measured the wrist span width of the bracelet as 50.01mm, but here on the 15400 you measured it as 55mm. Given they're both 41mm case sizes, that makes me think the bracelets are a little different. Presumably the bracelet of the 15500 will hug a smaller wrist better than the 15400? I also have 6.5" wrists, but my wrist span is 52mm, so I'm hoping a 15500 would actually hug my wrist.

Great video again👏👏👍I love both but I chose 15450 at the end for the very reason you pointed out. It’s a dressier size. Specially the white/silver dial. Ps I love how you reference the sub for sizing that was very clever as most who are about to make a purchase will already have a sub.
@HafizJMehmood4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the feedback. That’s true, most of the comparisons I’ve done are also against sub too because that’s almost become an industry standard for what is big and what is smaller. Happy to hear that this approach I took of using Sub as a reference is working :)

APs are something else my friend. If you’ve been following my Channel for sometime, 2017 and 2018, I only did Rolex and I was myself big Rolex fan, to the point I had three subs, black, green and bluesy in my collection at the same time. Then I got into AP, and I realised, Royal Oaks are truly sensational timepieces. The experience they give is simply one if it’s kind. Nothing wrong with Rolex, and I still like them, but in my eyes, there’s really no comparison.
@heisenberg66374 жыл бұрын
Hafiz J Mehmood hahaha I already have a black sub date and wish to add the bluesy and maybe a hulk too later apart from other models... that still is the plan but will hopefully add an AP to the collection someday! Hope you didn’t sell your subs since you said “had”. Also I read somewhere that AP are bit more delicate and more expensive to service compared to rolex. And I as it is am very careful even for my sub so as to not scratch it too much lol.. so AP would be hard to handle in that case.
@HafizJMehmood4 жыл бұрын
Muzik Man you’re right. The word “had” was intentional :) I had to sell my blue and black subs to fund 15400 back in 2018. I do have hulk and I haven’t even worn it once in over 8 months just because I keep going back to my Royal Oaks. I kinda disagree with ROs being said to be scratch magnet. They’re the same as Rolex. The only issue is that they have so many angles and sharp corners that if you damage it, the debt on sharp corner will ruin the profile. Rolex sub already has no such profile corners or perfect machining; so having a dent on it doesn’t look that obvious because there’s not many sharp angles that are at risk of getting deshaped. I daily my APs for years and have had no issues. As long as you’re a careful wearer like myself, they’re fine.

If AP bothered to make a proportionally bigger calibre for the 41mm then power reserve should be 80 hours. I personally don't like big watches with undersized calibres. If you look back in the mid century when watches were typically 34-36mm, it was a technical achievement to make smaller and thinner calibres. In modern times, there is no challenge for the watchmaker. They just have to make bigger cases.
