Even for a YG stan like me, i barely know anything about how YG really works. It just means that due to the extreme training Lisa had as a trainee, every feedback she gives to the trainees are in perfect details and analysis. Because that was her experience before during her 5 years training in YG. Lisa's way of mentoring is like how book or movie critics do their job when done properly. Giving reviews and feedbacks to the holes that need to be cleaned or patched. (not literally)

@HH-ki9wb Жыл бұрын
actually the first thing performers learn is to smile. after practice this becomes automatic so they don't need to think about how they come acorss (yes, there are places where the artist is expected to be moody or brooding but the cheerful energetic music industry is not one of them and you need to simle to come across as a person who is not suffering while performing but having fun)
@qianqian... Жыл бұрын
But the thing is nai wan started as a rapper not dancer, still a performer but you don’t always have to smile during rapping, it’s about memorizing the lyrics, speaking them clearly, and projecting with your voice. And there’s no dance moves involved that you need to memorize most of the times. So at the time ,in this part of the show, she even said that it did not come naturally to her since she and her two other friends were all beginners in dance compared to other contestants so most of the time she was trying to memorize the dance moves and keep up with others so she couldn’t remember to smile.

A lot of people probably dont understand when Lisa said "you dont have to be sorry to me, be sorry to your friends." She wasn't being rude. It actually meant that being in a group means you have to be in a group and be one with the group. Since one mistake from any of the members can mess up their performance, it will negatively affect the confidence and energy of the group as a whole. Especially at that time that they were still trainees. And can you even imagine if majority of the members are doing their best and have already almost perfected the routine, but you're still far behind? In some way too, that is an offense against the other members who really mulitplied their efforts by 100 just to achieve a certain level of perfection. Basically, what you do can affect everyone else. So you need to do your best all the time and consider the welfare of other people too who are working with you.

@@nothing9208 if you think THAT is rude, go and watch the produce series from mnet. i am not even kidding, some of the mentors are crazy harsh. take an example, BYJ and cheetah. you'll know what i am talking about if you had watch them. but just because they were "rude" doesn't mean they're a bad mentor. if they kept being nice and friendly to them in a competition show, how are they going to develop. how are they going to know the mistake they made was wrong? if Lisa wasn't harsh at them how are they going to know the mistake they made was serious? i was once at a training too and i was at two phases. beginner and advance. the beginner, like you said, my teacher was lovely friendly and very soft. no scolding, and always a nice aura. but when we were doing a test, we were messing up and always giggling along. we were hardly serious, resulting us getting a B-. 6 months passed, we leveled up to advance. this time, the teacher is the opposite to our beginner teacher. 6-8 hour practice, scoldings, tears, we were very afraid of him. but we finished our routines very fast and were 2 weeks early doing the test. we end up getting an A. just like Lisa said, if they came, they should've know what they signed up for. if they weren't ready to be there, why did they came? if they didn't like the harsh training they got, why did they came? they're training to be an IDOL. it's not supposed to be easy. sorry for the long paragraph, i want to respectly disagree with you. but i hope you have an awesome day and stay safe please ❤️

In my High School dance class, the instructor caught me giggling at the back and she was not only giving me death stare but she also cursed at me directly. Then when I joined dance festival in college, there was a routine I didn't get right away and the dance instructor shouted in my ears. Bottom line was Lisa being harsh on this one? Nope. She did right by making sure that they learn their moves.

@crescentsky89204 жыл бұрын

@@perihanyldz7700 to be honest, i didn't find her mentoring rude. When she asked the trainee who keeps messing up and said "what's wrong with you? You dance wrong", she called her out on her mistakes and even asked her what's wrong, she's not that fluent in english so she probably isn't aware how her words sounded to others, I didn't see anything problematic on what she said tho, she was probably trying to ask the trainee why she can't follow the moves properly, and when she pointed to the trainee behind her and said " She keeps messing up" I mean, it's true anyway. Lmao, ya'll a bunch of snowflakes if you think she was being rude that way, my sister went through vocal trainings and when I performed in front of her she straight up told me that I am wasting their money and it seems like I didn't learn anything in my singing lessons (I've got troubles in my breathing exercises), she told me that I didn't soud good and I keep singing the wrong way sooo, lisa's way of teaching is pretty chill and effective too, my mentor never really told me about my mistakes (although she keeps reminding me on how to breath) if it wasn't for my sister I wouldn't even know what I was doing wrong!!! Also, if you watch other clips of youth with you, she's actually very nice to the trainees, cheering them up, praising them, giving them some advices etc. She's only like this when she's teaching them (annd they keep messing up) she's trying to make sure they do everything right.

Also big respect for her being strict and if anyone says she was being mean she wasn’t I strongly don’t believe that BLACKPINK are always bubbly and happy all the time and also real teachers and mentors have to be strict would you rather your student do badly because you didn’t want to hurt their feelings? I can't get over how much Esther Yu just LOVES Lisa. I love how she noticed the girl was going to get help from Lisa (like by going behind her and moving her arms into the right place) and Esther is just like, "I need to make more mistakes too.... ;___; " Like she is a BIG ASS mood lmao

In Thailand it's not as rude as it sounds for us, it's like "what's happening to you" kind of thing, they say it a lot. Lisa probably didn't knew it would appear so rude so she just said. But I understand you, I just know this because another girl explained.
