Don't you think the amount of machine-gun chops makes the playing less groovy? Still incredible though, great technique, he seems playing so fast with so distinct tones and slaps, yet he doesn't seem to put much musular effort into it.

Hi! is this goat or cow skin? i'd love to know cuz i'm trying to get a sound close to this one on my new djembe!

If you use a hair dryer on the skin (not too close to burn it), it will tighten it up to heighten the pitch. As you blow with the dryer, tap the skin and you will hear it get higher. Remember a cow, or goat, can take a lot of sun, so don't be afraid to heat it up.
