...AMAZING, the will of people. Those road conditions were horrendous. PHENOMENAL footage, as usual. Side note; I can only imagine some of the spirits that have shown themselves to this pastor. Testing his faith, unrelenting. He has taken on a heavy mission. I pray his endurance, and honesty.

Yah this is really touching after watching these documentaries my mindset changed i thought we are suffering in Southern Africa but what i have seen in DRC and other central also west African countries us here we are really living a very good life. These people are really suffering. I wish the presidents and their government would watch these documentaries. Maybe they might be touched and try to fix the road network.

I have vivid memories of such journeys. Back in 2007, a distance of 96km could be covered in 5-7 hours and on rainy season, sleeping on the road was inevitable. Nowadays (Rural Kenya) it only takes 2-3hours on the same road since they were constructed. Its all about good governance.

Not that I'd like to complain, but this particular episode has been uploaded to at least three different YT channels. But nevermind, doesn't matter, the episode is definitely worth re-watching. Imo, development aid to African countries should be used to manage road infrastructure. It would make it easier and faster for people to get their products to the market.
@PAULLONDEN
@PAULLONDEN 3 жыл бұрын
Re-uploading happens to tens of thousands videos......doesn't matter as long as they're as interesting as these , where there's so much to see , you can easily watch them a few times over.
@Marisolita_95
@Marisolita_95 3 жыл бұрын
@@PAULLONDEN Yes, it happens a lot, but like I said it doesn't matter, esp talking about this episode, it shows us how difficult life is for ordinary people in a country where the road infrastructure is in really bad condition, but then again, people have a smile on their faces, they laugh and joke while the truck is stuck in the mud. Here in West, we'd probably yell to each other. All in all, a very educational episode which can be watched more than once. I have watched a Burundi episode 3 times. It's a brilliant episode.

The way how fast they drove a roughly 90 degree bend was incredible, and they couldn't even see what's behind the bend. They had like 150 kg of bananas on the bike rack and the tires & brakes were in poor condition. You have to have guts to do that kind of job. Gotta respect those guys!
